You have quadruple the amount of posts I do on a basketball website. Let’s talk about who spends too much time on their moms internet

We understand that it's very unlikely we'll have a vaccine in November. Also coronavirus will likely be here forever now.Johnny Bball wrote:mademan wrote:Pharmcat wrote:

as i said, 'reasonably well'. We understand virology well too. All things considered, for most young and healthy people, this is taking a fast tracked vaccine for a virus that, at an individual level, isnt very injurious and very to extremely far from lethal.
With no live virus in it... what is you imagination picturing that's in it that is so incredibly harmful? A 100 grams of Cyanide?
And far from lethal and isn't injurious is just willfully ignorant.
If you don't understand virology or exposure rates to minuscule harmful chemicals now, you're not likely to understand it when the vaccine is ready, so I see little changing with you're anti-vax stance. Which IS what this is.

Just consider that Sony delayed the release of their PlayStation and why.
They stated that they don't want to drown out any other voices.
OFFICIALLY they did.
Snidely, some insiders ( ok maybe a few store owners that I know of ) claimed they didn't want their PS5 be a reason to have another riot just to be looted from their stores.

Some good points made by DG here. It's those 20% of details left to be worked out that seem to be a focus. Can't the NBA get its own employees or arrange for Disney's to be in the bubble to make food? To take in food delivery? To turn down the beds? All other services at hotels? I understand the league doesn't have all the answers right now, but these concerns are legitimate AND workable. It doesn't have to be the case that workers go freely back and forth and without even being tested. What a Trojan horse to a good plan. Hope they figure it out because it's a serious detriment to the stated 'health first' mandate.

I suspect that more effort put into preserving the bubble will be met with more criticism from the general public. You would think that the whole fate of the world will depend on whether coronavirus somehow gets into the bubble. However, if they don't put maximum effort and coronavirus does get in, the NBA will be in big trouble. This is a disaster ready to happen.

In March when they talked a bout one day opening again one day I think everyone figured that support staff would be in the bubble and overpaid as well. I have no idea what they are thinking, or why this is a problem.
I'll volunteer to work it and cook!

It’s a lose lose situation for Silver.
If i was him i’d make it as public as possible that it’s the players that want to come back. Like make the players basically sign off on coming back and that they understand and accept the risks. Cuz no matter what the owners, league, and Silver going to get blamed when something inevitably goes bad. Be it major injury to a star, a few people getting COVId, relative of a NBA player passing due to COVID etc.

I keep seeing this and how is that exactly? What makes people so sure about that?

Every Toronto fan that I've seen hates the NBA coming back in Orlando.
