I thought it was pretty good. I had the same problem that I have with Ozark. The main character is a class A douchebag with really no redeeming qualities at all, so why do I care when he gets shot in the face?

I really like Sandler as a dramatic actor, and I knew it was dark going in, but I guess I just don't get the whole antihero thing. Gimme something.

That seems to be the Safdie brothers’ forte. Good Time is another one of their movies, and while I found the story and performances to be top notch, the main character (Robert Pattinson) was such a dirtbag person that it made the movie tough to get through.

Cable scrolling a couple nights and there was a Las Vegas marathon on. I used to enjoy that one a lot. Pretty mindless entertainment, great eye candy, James Caan being a badass. I wish it was streaming somewhere.

If you have trouble watching douchebags with no redeeming qualities I’d love to hear your review on Succession. Best show on TV right now in my opinion, but everybody is **** awful.

Anyone check season 6 of Alone on Netflix? I was a big survivor man fan back in the day and Alone is the best of that genre. I'm always amazed by the woodsman skills and toughness of these peeps.

much better show than naked and afraid, which we have invested tons of time watching.
We are now streaming 1-5 and DVRing 7, so many shows we probably never knew about..

He was on Joe Rogan a little while back. Very interesting background and seems like a good guy.

Love TNG but it is CORNY. Nobody likes to modify the main deflector dish to create an inverse tachyon pulse to scan the inside of the anomaly more than me.

Surprised at how much you enjoyed it. Outside of Amos being even More Amos, I thought the show took a step back. Avasarala went from being one of the best to one of the worst.

I kinda felt like the show lost some steam, and I had a bit of trouble finishing the season. The plot seemed to slowly meander along, and it just wasn't very interesting to me. I hoped Altered Carbon would get better writing in the second season but that also got worse (couldn't finish it), and while I really enjoyed Dark, it seems like that is becoming to much of a chore to watch/comprehend. I was done with Westworld after season 2. Sorry for the negative sci-fi tangent/rant.

I mean there are 12 episodes that ever aired and a few of them are terrible...

I'm a big fan but I would never put it over Twilight Zone, XFiles, etc.

And so I find myself roaring when I watch gems like this on YouTube:

Plus, the beat still slaps.

It's a damn shame we couldn't get like 7 seasons of that show.

I finished up Lenox Hill on Netflix. Amazing docu-series. It follows four docs in a Manhattan hospital over a roughly 18 month period. I came close to tears nearly every episode. The empathy and compassion these docs show is really inspiring. Might be triggering if you have lost a loved one to a prolonged cancer battle.

I liked the first season of The Sinner. Good performances, intriguing mystery. Definitely gonna watch the next two seasons.

I'm probably late to the game because it's been out for a while but Knives Out was a really fun watch.
