I'd play him at the five. Guard the paint on defense, get defensive boards, be involved in a vast majority of the offensive settings as the screen setter. He doesn't have to shoot/assist every play but the more he's involved the better. Teams respect his outside shot so he naturally draws a lot of attention. Dirk was able to anchor great offenses for 10+ years by doing that. Imo that should be the way to go with KP, too. Mixed in with some post/iso plays here & there whenever we can't run our stuff. That's always an important fallback option.
Next to KP we need someone who can guard the PnR, shoot and ideally also play a bit inside. Switchy bigs like Kleber or smallball PFs like DFS are good fits but idealls you can find someone who is even better than those two.
I'd convert Powell's role to a bench big. He doesn't need to start to have his usual impact. Just gotta hope he can come back from the injury.
