I'm surprised at this point most Americans dont know people close to them who have suffered from this.
number one, nice ad hominem, smart guy.
number two, no one is saying force players to play. If someone has a pre-existing condition that puts them at greater risk, like asthma, that should be treated seriously. At the same time, pro athletes are one of the least at-risk populations in the world from this thing based on the evidence. If the rest of America is going back to work, with precautions, what makes NBA players special?
and number three, you call people imbeciles and then think everyone in America ought to have someone in their inner circle who's had COVID-19? There's 2.1 million cases in the country right now - if you took a minute to check that against the total population and see what percentage of Americans have actually been affected you'd have a real quick answer for your assumption.
I'm honestly not trying to be a dick to you, even though you led off with being one in your post, because that doesn't lead to any kind of productive dialogue. And I'm not saying coronavirus isn't a serious thing for certain populations and there's no reason anybody should have to play basketball against their will. But the fact is that most of us under the age of 45 or so have very little to worry about from this virus and pro athletes even less, and the league is doing everything in their power to make the return as safe as possible for everyone involved, just like every other responsible employer around the world is doing for their people. Kyrie is a guy who believes the earth is flat, you think he's working with a full deck up top? In my opinion he and the dudes in his group are acting like a bunch of disgruntled babies about the whole thing and taking any excuse to push back against the league and owners.
