Reminder: Any player on the Exempt List can either have their contract frozen by their team or the team can allow a year to come off of that players contract. If a team decides to "freeze" a contract, it will simply carry over to next years roster as is. The deadline for teams to decide on their Exempt List players will be Tuesday, June 30th at midnight. Any team that does not submit a response will automatically have their EL players contract frozen and carried over to the 2020-21 season. Any questions on this process, let me know.

Deadline- Tuesday, June 30th at midnight

So regarding my exempt player, Justin Jackson $8/1, wouldn’t he be considered a FA this off-season? Or do I still have to make a decision?

No, exempt list players can either keep their current contracts or lose a year on their contracts depending on the teams choice. EL players default to a "frozen" contract if nothing is done by the team. So in Jackson's case, if you do nothing he will still be on your roster next year. If you want him to be a FA then you would need to PM me saying that you want a year off of his contract.

is this because Justin is not in the league? that GSW can "freeze" the contract Comiss?

Ok thanks for clarifying. If I do decide to “freeze him” and keep him on my roster next year, would his contract count against my cap?

Also can I use the $8 he’s making to make salaries work in a trade? Just trying to see if there would be any benefit to keeping him around.
