Oh and Maddow spent some time last night covering the latest Sat night massacre
with the Trump move to control media. Joseph Goebbels is smiling up from hell.

(at risk of stating the obvious)
Critical that Dems take the Senate. The country can't afford a sociopath like #moscowmitch
in a position of power any longer.

Just unbelievable that this is really happening today in America.

President Donald Trump referred to African countries, Haiti and El Salvador as "shithole" nations during a meeting Thursday and asked why the U.S. can't have more immigrants from Norway.

Poor Peoples Campaign. Powerful speakers. Today (right now, 6pm EST) and tomorrow (also 6pm EST).
JOIN THE POOR PEOPLE'S CAMPAIGN: A NATIONAL CALL FOR MORAL REVIVAL
Join us at the Mass Poor People’s Assembly and Moral March on Washington for a Digital Justice Gathering to call for a revolution of values to save the soul and heart of our democracy. The political and economic systems in the U.S. are plagued by the interlocking injustices of systemic racism, poverty, militarism and a war economy, ecological devastation and a distorted moral narrative of religious nationalism. Somebody’s hurting our people. It’s gone on far too long, and we won’t be silent anymore.

So Trump and the RNC have $190M cash on hand.
Biden and the DNC have about $122M cash on hand.

Re: Political Roundtable Part XXVIII
The craziest part of his "rally" is that it was in a county that was already setting daily records for their most cases of coronavirus. That's hurting their economy, hospitals, hospital workers, people. For what? To support a piece of garbage... who was hoping for every seat to be filled.

Re: Political Roundtable Part XXVIII
Apparently Trump supporters were not nearly as reckless, at least
based on their unwillingness to show up, than had been predicted.
Then again, tRump did say that a million people were asking
to come (or some such ridiculous claim). Maybe that should have
been our first clue that this was going to flop. He simply cannot
tell the truth about anything that would reflect on him personally,
or much of anything else for that matter.

It's getting real here in Houston/Harris County.
This is a bit of an exaggeration (comparing us to Brazil) but it does make the point.

I can't tell whether the anonymous/tik tok claims of sabotaging the Tulsa rally are real or a right-wing fabricated cover story for why there were not a million people there. Who's got the scoop?

Trump will probably start garbling some K-Pop micro-targeted legislation that specifically excludes anything the Russians do.

Re: Political Roundtable Part XXVIII
Perhaps smarter than DNC too.
It's possible that the million teen march stunt suppressed attendance by creating the appearance that it was too popular, and without advanced ticketing, there seemed a good chance of showing up and not being able to attend.
On the other hand, perhaps the long break from the rallies, punctuated by COVID and riots, had the effect of somewhat breaking the spell. For those of us not under the spell, Trump has a little bit of charisma, but is really not all that that funny, is not really all that smart, is yugely self-important and thin-skinned, and is constantly doing interviews and tweeting, so all of that is there to see.
Even Trump fans occasionally get aggressively policed. Even Trump fans lose people to COVID. When he stopped holding his Duckburg Rallies, maybe the fresh air of reality seeped in a little. You wouldn't have to change your political views to come to realize that Trump isn't all that. Did you see all the pictures of people yawning or otherwise looking bored in Tulsa?
More to come on this, and not implying confidence of a slam dunk, just suggesting one possible scenario that might topple what seems to me to be a house of cards.
PS: My stepfather, a lifelong Republican (who probably voted for Trump) called him a fascist the other day. I have no idea where he got that language, but it seemed kind of telling.
