Re: Rebounds Draft : Discussion
Ness could start Luc and have Dwight as a super-sub and 48 minutes of all-time elite interior D. Hakeem/KG/Dumars/Chauncey is pretty solid. The third round punt hurt, tbh.
Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy

What’s wrong with KG at SF for 10 minutes of a 48 minute game? He’s arguably the most athletic PF of all time - one of the GOAT defenders - 10 minutes a game and y’all act like I’m murdering someone.

That’s how it was set up and then I was like screw the mold - KG can start and I’ll have elite talent for the first 10 minutes of the game. Try to score on me.

Re: Rebounds Draft : Discussion
My team have the GOAT + 3 players who won DPOY (4 DPOYs awards total) and all players except Joel made the 1st or 2nd All-Defense team at least once in their careers.
My team will rely heavily on MJ-Gobert pick and roll with Kirilenko and Marion providing some spacing. The team will always push the tempo. Fat Lever will be 6th man and will provide some relief to MJ, when needed.
The weaknesses of this team are: outside shooting and lack of capable reserve Center.
PG Rajon Rondo (20) / Fat Lever (28)
SG Michael Jordan (28) / Michael Cooper (12) / Fat Lever (8)
SF Andrei Kirilenko (30) / Michael Jordan (12) / Michael Cooper (6)
PF Shawn Marion (32) / Andrei Kirilenko (16)
C Rudy Gobert (35) / Joel Przybilla (8) / Shawn Marion (5)

KG could play SF with another natural PF who has some range... it's not KG at SF I see as the issue, but Hakeem/Dwight as the frontcourt.

I don't think 10 minutes a game as a big deal as their defense would probably cover any issues that they have a offensively

Re: Rebounds Draft : Discussion
If it was really that good he’d want to do it for more than 10 minutes. Any unit you only want together for 10 minutes should not be your starting unit. Defensively it’s fine. KG can guard most small forwards in stretches, even if I’d argue it’s not the best use of his defensive ability. It’s something you’d rather utilize in switches than make it the main thing he does for considerable stretches. He can switch onto Kawhi or Pippen but I’d prefer it not be his main assignment. Furthermore, Hakeem is totally a guy I can see guarding power forwards just fine. He was a super mobile defender.
Offensively it’s ugly to me, mainly because it cuts into a strength some. Hakeem/KG is a dynamite offensive pairing and Dwight gets in the way of that. You’re losing value if you play the 3 of them together IMO.

What would you guys think if I ran something like
having Chuck and Iggy start games on the bench?
I think that line up fits Shaq better, maybe split most of their minutes (Shaq and Chuck) for 3 quarters, certainly can do that with Sheed as the third big in the rotation?
And Iggy can be off the bench as a secondary player while Royce is also the better shooter so it fits Shaq better, could look something like this?
Kyle Lowry (36)/ Iggy (12)
Royce oneal (20)/ Iggy (24)/ pj tucker (4)
Gerald Wallace (36)/ PJ tucker (12)
Sheed (12)/ Chuck (36)
Shaq (36)/ sheed (12)

Everyone Plays Natural position -
2 MVPs - 2 other All-Def(1) - 1 other All Star + Tobias Harris - Patty Mills & Al Farouq Aminu (in seasons selected)
Tremendous Flexibility by Position and in Match ups - BPA - Bully Ball and Small Ball options
Harden - McCray & Mills - Deep threats / Tobias and Buck - Mid Range /
Harden - Simmons & Aminu - Slashers / Walton - Buck & Harris Low Post Presence
Minutes and starting line ups would be determined by matchups
Depth Chart
PG Ben Simmons .. Patty Mills .. James Harden
SG James Harden .. Patty Mills .. Ben Simmons
SF Tobias Harris .. Rodney McCray .. Al Farouq Aminu
PF Buck Williams .. Al Farouq Aminu ..Tobias Harris
Ct Bill Walton .. Buck Williams

Re: Rebounds Draft : Discussion
I definitely thought rebounds would be a problem so not going with another big time scorer beside LeBron def was a mistake early on. Glad to get Mullin with a late pick. Ppl seem to view him poorly which imo is idiotic but that’s how these things go. He was an incredible scorer/shooter who should compliment James here along with Green/Jokic/Kidd/,

Chuck on the bench is a no no.
I’d go Lowry/Iggy/Chuck/Sheed/Shaq or Lowry/Iggy/Wallace/Chuck/Shaq

It would be pretty good but it’s nowhere near a legal team so it doesn’t matter

I agree. What you did was pointless and just took good players off the board for people trying to be play the game correctly

In the roster thread stickied at the top of the board you must list your players chosen, the seasons you have selected for them, and show the FGA and in this case rebound numbers.
You must also show that they total to numbers that comply with the rules.
Lastly, you must disclose a rotation. You can change that rotation in the playoffs given the matchup, but it still needs to be there.
