Ingram has been excellent, and will get a max contract from someone. But he's not a fit on every roster.

It will be interesting to see if Ingram can maintain this level of play once Zion is back in the lineup.

Zion isn't a ball dominant player. His return really shouldn't have any negative effect on how much Ingram gets the ball.

I wish i bookmarked some of the pages, but one guy literally wrote an essay using BI's metrics to show that he will amount to a below average to average player. These same people would laugh at us lakers fans when we kept telling you he would be good, but all that mattered was his advanced stats VORP, PER, etc

He can score at all 3 levels efficiently now, be a playmaker/ even run your offense, and still play solid defense when has to (dropped a bit this season, but in a new system)

...but if he was still laker, people will find anything to dismiss his success.

NOP didnt even give him an offer, i hope he tells Griffin to go **** himself

Get your bag BI, you deserve it.

No, stats said he wasn't as good of a prospect, and it was just advanced like Vorp or ws. He had a negative rpm every season he was in L.A. Has he even played a dozen games yet? Is this supposed to wash away the 50x sample size?

he is going to continue this type of play whether celtics fans, neckbeard twitter, VORP twitter, etc like it or not.

what will be the excuse you guys use when he does continue this type of play for the season?

You're allowed to dream but don't hurt yourself because he's staying in New Orleans.

24/6/4 on 59 TS%, All Star in the west, significant improvement every year and still only 22 years old. Ya he's getting a max deal.

There's no doubt he's better than Jamal Murray, so there's your starting point

I’m dreaming because I keeping hearing how the COVID 19 is going to affect small ownership and the cap might be lower. Plus the fact that they are already talking no fans next year owners might not want to spent. Hey I’m a knicks fan and god knows we need to catch a break. But I agreed he worth the max and the pelicans should do everything to keep him

Stat Padders don’t have a 59% true shooting. They have a 52% true shooting.

Letting Ingram go now probably does more damage to the profit margin in seasons to come. Also, no one on the team wants to see that and we haven't had a good starting wing since Stojakovic.

I'm so glad, Ingram and Lonzo are showing their stuff on the Pelicans. The GB in shambles again for killing Laker fans who supported both and kept saying that both were going to very good.

Your take was so outdated and clueless he thought you weren't being serious.

Ingram is incredibly good. I’ve always said it.

New Orleans is set with him and Zion. If Lonzo can gain consistency then they have a great trio to build around.

I think that while Ingram may not be a max player right now, teams need to bet on his future. I'm a huge fan of his. It would surprise me if he wasn't tendered a max offer in October

That's the thing though. His improvement from his first 3 years to his year 4 has been mind-boggling. I cannot remember anything like that.

Went from a poor FT shooter (sub 70%) to elite (86%) in one season
Went from bad 3PT shooter (about 33%) to very good (39%) on 3 times the volume in one season
All other stats categories went up significantly

Is this real? I want to say yes and I'd give him the MIP in heartbeat as well as a max contract. But man, again I cannot remember such an exponential improvement in just a single season (especially the FT and 3PT shooting numbers) so I can understand the pause for reflection.

I wouldn't pay him the max, but someone will. But kudos to his improvement . I'd give MIP to Bam Adebayo also.
