Anyone seen any info on Portland? They coudl provide some problems for the LA teams in the first round if their guys are back healthy after all this time off.

I didn't even realize he got suspended. I guess he has a coke addiction? Hope he gets the help he needs.

With more & more traditionally big budget Euroleague teams unable to maintain their payroll & the situation in China, I’m curious to see if the G-league will continue to be bolstered by more AAAA type veterans moving forward. Legit NBA prospects skipping college to compete against the best players outside of the NBA could usher in a really exciting new era of G-league basketball and make it more of a scouting epicenter.

Wasn't sure where to post this. I saw he has opt outs in his contract. Could that potentially mean we could sign him on the team if he wanted to come here down the road or would that be illegal?

He has to be removed from HS for 1 year in order to be eligible for the draft. IF he is not drafted in '21, he becomes an UDFA and any NBA team can sign him, provided they pay his buyout.

UCAM was pretty underwhelming this year, but they had a pretty experienced squad. Unless they have a big roster turnover, he won't play much.
On the other side, it's summer for 6 months down there, and the city is a stone's throw from Costa Blanca beaches. Great lifestyle option

so, when a team like Miami "leaks" that they will be going after Giannis and Oladipo, what's the upside for them? Do they think it will cause other teams to back off, or . . .?

Just to create instability. It’ll get the talking heads discussing moves and then you’ve got journos asking Giannis and Oladipo about it. All about planting the seed...

Beloved internet commenter Chonestown was allegedly approached by Knicks management regarding the open head coach position but ultimately decided to stay at the Real GM Bucks forum according to trusted sources.

I would say you're both correct.

I can confirm there were concerns around his legacy if he went to New York.

Corey Brewer’s always seemed like a really good dude. Happy to see him back in the league.

What am I missing here? How could any objective observer conclude he is anything other than woefully incompetent as a head coach? No doubt he has much respect around the league stemming from his playing days. Getting a year of Lebron was a smart move for his career, and I'm confident he can be a valuable part of a staff AS AN ASSISTANT. If he showed any ability to adapt or even the slightest inclination towards humility, I could make a case for him 'growing' as a coach. But, nope, can't do it. Then there's the questionable character component...

I can only draw one conclusion: The Knicks hope Kidd can correct their recent failures to lure stars to MSG. Desperation at best.
