Is there any clarification on what stage they're in? Positive as in they just got COVID and arent showing symptoms yet, or had it recently?

I think the teams don't want to publish the severity.

Unfortunately, people are catching Covid multiple times. Recovery is great but KD is just as likely to catch it again....and again. I have already come across a patient who caught it three separate times and that patient is a young healthy person otherwise.

Once we get to 50-75 nba players who had the virus and none of them even are admitted to the hospital then will you guys finally admit this virus' lethality is overblown?

What is protocol if someone test positive for Covid during the playoffs? From what I know, isn't it player is required to sit out for one week?

IMO the NBA should just cancel the season. Many leagues worldwide have done that anyway. Look at what happened in tennis, Djokovic and 4 others got infected for playing in a pocket tournament that Djoko organized. Tennis is considered a non-contact sport and in spite of that it spread so damn fast. What more if that happens in basketball, imagine how fast the virus can spread even with just one infected player, the domino effect is serious. Even if they test regularly, guys who have get the covid for 1-2 days only will usually still show negative result. It's not 100% accurate. They set so many rules to avoid players come into close contact while in Orlando, but it's stupid. Because you will be in close contact with 9 other players on the court during the games anyway.

LBJ is pushing so hard to finish the year, and I get him, he is 36 he wants to be the GOAT, but is it worth it? It's kinda insensitive to people who have lost lives due to Covid. And one of them is even a NBA player- KAT who lost his mom to this virus. It is better to just cancel the season, nobody wants this to happen, but let's face it, whoever wins this year will be a triple * champ in everyone's minds. Imagine if Philly ends up winning, no one will really count that because of how much they sucked on the road, and now they don't have to play on the road.

What the NBA is doing is a recipe for disaster. It's not as if America has done a good job in its battle against Covid. And they even want to play in Florida where virus is on a high rate.

Nobody is catching Covid-19 multiple times. Potentially some people with compromised immune systems might suffer relapses(same infection, not re-infection) but most of those in South Korea and China that tested positive again after recovering was the result of inaccurate tests that showed positive in response to dead viral material still being present.

Well, there's a lot to suggest that the number of deaths are inflated, and there are even monetary incentives to do so. That aside, yes that's a lot of deaths.

However, there have been years in the US where over 50,000 people died from the flu. The reason no one freaked out was due to the fact that there might have been 30 or 40 million with the flu, meaning a lot of people caught it and a relatively small number of those people died. In many cases, the people who died had other complications, so it wasn't that the flu killed a healthy person, it was that the flu killed a person who was likely to die from any major illness or complication they encountered.

In this case, where people without symptoms are being tested regularly, we're seeing that a lot of them in fact have the virus. Ordinarily they aren't being tested, so clearly we have a segment of the population that has the virus but no ill effects. It is reasonable to conclude that more healthy people have this than the data reflects, and that healthy people are really at a very low risk to die from this. We can show appropriate concern but also have appropriate understanding.

Imagine posting 100,000 people have died without posting the total number of people who were infected and the ratio of people corresponding to their age and athletic activity.
