Anywho, pretty much everybody I know has been playing TLOU 2 this week and the worst comment I've heard from any of them is that they haven't been able to get any sleep because they're too obsessed with it. Seems like everyone I know thinks it's pretty much the best game ever.

That blows my mind.
Spoiler:
Everything was miserable. The characters, the story/writing, the gameplay, the atmosphere. They blow their load immediately with Joel getting murdered and follow that up with terrible decisions based on nonsensical revenge. It's basically misery porn.

I'm not very far into it so I can't truly weigh in it yet but my early impression is for the people who are hating this I don't quite understand what they were expecting from this game. Maybe I will get it as a I get more into the game but I doubt it.

Spoiler:
yes, they could've handled Joel's death better considering how much of an investment people had in that character from the first game, but I have zero issue with his past actions catching up to him. We'll see where they take things with this Abby character, they had to have known everyone would immediately loathe her for killing Joel so that will be a big make or break thing to overcome if they continue to have her as a playable character throughout the game.

I don't want to spoil it for you but there are other ways they could've handled the story with how the first game set everything up that would've made more sense. I was fine with what you mentioned happening but everything after it was like waiting for the game to just end. I was laughing at some directions they went with.

I probably can count the number of games I think of as perfect on one hand, but Injustice 2 is one of them. Great single player story mode, awesome voice acting, accessible but deep mechanics, buffs and gear that actually make you want to keep playing, and a huge roster. I just wish Marvel could have a fighting game of this quality. It's been 20 years since MvC 2 came out. They're due.

Not the same but the new Avengers look pretty great, IMO.

I watched about 45 minutes of gameplay footage today and I'm likely gonna pick it up. There's some stuff I don't really love but hopefully the story and diversity of the roster ends up being a plus.

Not sure if this is the place to post this (but hey its a game after all and I despise reddit) anyone else play DnD?

Recently got back into playing (played for almost a decade and stopped for like the last 7) but I'm having a hard time getting one of my players into the RP aspect of the game despite her theater background

Just looking for tips

Injustice 2 is great, tho loot boxes arent really rewarding to me, I dont know, and I wish there was a way to unlock everything without spending cash (as I remember correctly, you can unlock only one or two super skins, and if you want others you need to buy in game currency with real money). Is that game still active, does it has multiverse challenges? Thats where I spent most of my time, I only played few multiplayer matches. I remember leveling up Supergirl to level 20 thinking maybe when I max her I will play MP with her, but when I maxed her I kinda just abandoned the game. I just have social phobia that doesnt let me enjoy multiplayer, and that sucks.

I know I would have loved it, but I never played it, its was just never a thing here where I lived. I loved Spoony's - counter monkey series on youtube, have you seen it? Big fan of Spoony, the closest thing I played to DnD is Divinity original sin games, those are basically DnD - the video game. Baldurs Gate 3 will be the same exact thing, and I am exited, I just hope game is easier, because man, Divinity games is a killer DM

I haven't touched BL3 in 2020 I don't think but the new DLC sounds excellent. I think I know how my weekend is gonna go.

My hype for Cyberpunk 2077 keeps getting higher and higher and I'm scared I'm going to be let down. IGN played for 4 hours and had some complaints, but they were so minor and sound like they can be fixed. After getting burned on a few other games hype-train I need to settle down. It looks so ****ing awesome though.

I'm just reading that now. I watched a couple more trailers released yesterday. This game looks ridiculous.

I've seen some concerns about stutter problems on consoles because current gen can't handle the game to it's full capacity. Think I'm back on the PC train for this one now, lol.

At this point it sounds like it won't be coming out until the next gen consoles are out or about to be out anyways, and I'd be surprised if the PS5 can't handle it, so no worries on my end

What I've seen them say thus far is that it's coming out for PS4, there will be a day-one patch to make it more PS5 compatible/optimized (since system is fully backward compatible), and there will be a down-the-road second patch to more greatly optimize it to be run on PS5.

I do not believe there will be a native PS5 copy.

Yeah, but point being it should run more than fine on PS5 if I had to guess which is where I'll almost certainly be playing it at this point.

Been playing weekly with the same group for two years, plus weekly play for a year or so before that. What's your issue?

Going for Desperados 3,it's getting very good reviews on steam.

There is also a demo available if you want to try before you buy.

Deperados 3 is excellent - talked about my time with the demo a couple pages ago. I'd have bought it by now if there wasn't a new PoE league I'm into. It went onto my wishlist right away, though.

Tip: Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun is from the same developer, in the same genre (isometric stealth tactics) and was highly praised but went under the radar. It's $6 in the Steam sale, which is major value if you kind of want the same-ish type game, but set in feudal Japan.

Mostly have players completely new to ttprg. We're 3 months in. Most have picked up the basic mechanics and have started incorporating more actual role-playing but I got one who actually has a degree in acting/theater and works for the Ren Fair but for the life of me I can't get her to actually RP and the little bit she does it comes at the expense of her needing to regale the world in order to do it (ie: I describe what a set of npcs are wearing and she responds with "well one of them is wearing pearls so I want to steal them" and then her shutting back down when I say "They arent wearing pearls. These are peasants and I never said they had pearls")

Seems my optical drive in the PS4 Pro is dead as a doornail. Repairing it by myself is not happening and I don't think I'm gonna pay to get it fixed. I have a large selection of digital only games. Unfortunately BL3 isn't one of them.
