True end of an era. The last 90s player to retire.

Good listen for Vince fans.

I started watching basketball as a kid because of Jordan but Vince made me fall in love with basketball. Going to miss seeing him on the court. I hope one day his jersey is retired in Toronto. Regardless for all the good and bad things that happened he was the main reason why many people like me in the Toronto area and Canada started watching and playing basketball.

Hopefully, this finally stops the endless threads about Vince returning to Toronto and then the bickering between the pro- and anti-Vince crowds.

Respect to VC and his long career. Wish we could have seen him suit up as a Raptor once more. Look fwd to the Jersey retirement.

Hell end up in TNT eventually.

The VC hate still boggles my mind. Especially when all the stories have come out over the years clearly showing there was a lot more that we were not aware of at the time.

Personally, this is saddening for me. That final game he was supposed to play here in April would have given a lot of us who have forgiven Vince some closure, short of him actually donning a Raptors jersey again. I'm sure the organization will do something to honour him in time, but letting him have one last standing ovation for his last check in/out at the SBA would have been something special. Oh well.

I hope some of you never get girlfriends the way you're unable to deal with someone leaving.

Vince is a main reason for basketball blowing up in this country.

The superstar known as Kawhi Leonard has forever wiped the memory of this loser.

We won a championship, without anyone caring once about him. :D :D :D

We should have brought him home when we had the chance.

The player that started the obsession with the Raps for me (check out my username, lol). Though I admit, the moment he got traded he was the player I despised the most until after a few years when he kinda became irrelevant in the league, I also lost that hate for him. Glad the city forgave him and gave him a standing ovation a few years back. Was kinda hoping to sign him to a 1 day contract and a part of me also wanted us to sign him for the playoffs (though he doesn't really offer much on the court anymore). It would've just been cool for his career to come full circle and end it with us. Would've wanted to see him with the new Raps jerseys.

Thanks Vince!

Like many here I’m sure, he’s the reason I fell down this rabbit hole of love for this game. I always enjoyed basketball, moreso playing than watching when I was a kid but the excitement that Vince brought on a nightly basis when he hit the scene created an appreciation for the game I didn’t necessarily have before and continues on to this day decades later.

Hate the way he left all you want, I didn’t like it either, but the impact he left on basketball in this country is undeniable.
