I think there are no core pieces, only pieces that aren't worthwhile dispensing with now. (Ie would you be happy wiping them off the squad if you didn't have to think about salary cap implications.) I would probably go in the range of 5. Bullock's contract is so good, given it's only 1 year, that you don't dump him. (Ofc happily trade for value.) Edit: ehfff. I guess Iggy probably meets that standard too.

Hypothetical thought experiment. Would you trade RJ for a guarantee of the 2021 #3 or of the 2022 #3? (Yes, in real life those can't be guaranteed, but imagine they can.) I think the answer to both is a snap-yes. Same question for Mitch - obviously no one is trading Mitch for another #42 or whatever, but think of Mitch as the #9 (was Knox #9? idrr). Trade Mitch for guaranteed 2021 #9 or guaranteed 2022 #9? For me its a clear no on 2021. Pause and think and then a tanking no on 2022. But maybe that's wrong. Final question: our boy for 2021 or 2022 #8?

I think besides Mitch and RJ everyone else has more to prove to be part of the core down the road.

But I would rather Leon Rose be realistic about Frank than unrealistic. Frank is a role player. Could be a valuable role player to us.
