Shumpert wins. He was going to be Dwayne Wade. We only wanted Trier to be Lou Williams lite

Manhattan Project wrote:I highly doubt we were going to keep Trier anyway, it's just a damn shame it's another wasted asset. It's not as if Trier was anything special, but he was a damn good microwave scorer that had the making of a really good consistent bench piece. He could shoot the three, handle the ball some and got buckets when ISO was needed.

Yeah, I don't get dat. Couldn't we have gotten someding for the guy? Even a 2nd?
(Maybe we tried?)

Speaking of Iman, almost don't recognize him now. Sound like the vets like Jack helped him be responsible with his money which is good.

He'll be trade bait so we can make room for Melo.

Hopefully there is a bigger game being played, as this feels like Trier got traded for LFT.

maybe this was a favor to rich paul, with the hope he'll push lamelo here or trae young who just signed with him and is supposedly unhappy in atlanta and wants a big market

for what it would take to trade for Trae Young and his overall net impact. I will pass on him.

Just go for Lamelo

Its basically this right here. This is Brock Aller using this window to get a little tricky with contracts. No risk, but maybe something comes of it. Nothing really major in itself, but when you make a lot of small moves like this some of them are bound to pay off at some point.

Trier wasn’t coming back anyway. Good move

Yea, Trier was gone so might as well get a free look at another player and a contract we might be able to trade. This might not be the last one either

Pinson is a scrub guys. I doubt he makes the team. Maybe he's trade fodder to make numbers work.

Yeah the incoming admin isn't to blame for what happened with Trier but I feel like prior leadership totally botched Trier's situation. There was no reason Trier shouldn't have gotten heavy minutes on a terrible knicks team.
