No one really stands out in this draft as a sure fire #1 pick. I kind of agree that we are fine anywhere in the top 4. We basically have a coin flip to pick top 4. If we don't luck out, and end up #6 I'd still be excited to draft Haliburton at that spot. I don't think he is an all-star type guy but I think he has a solid NBA career as a starting PG in this league. Andre Miller type control of a team with a better shot. I think he'll be a solid player. He is a safe pick that doesn't have the super high ceiling but if you can get someone good enough to be a starting PG in the NBA with a lottery pick that isn't always a bad move compared to the boom / bust type picks.

Deni's 1st game back since BBall return. I didnt want anything to do with him but im coming around. Hes dangerous in transition and great playmaking skills at that height.

Andre Miller with a shot is a perennial all-star, pushing all-nba.

Haliburton has a efficient shot its just not a quick one and he doesn't have alot of burst. I dont see him having a super high ceiling but he does do so many things well that he will be a impactful long career to a roster in my opinion.

Just hate that shooting form and slow release he has.

I actually just read a comp today for Haliburton i really like, Dejounte Murray. They seem to share alot of the same strengths and weaknesses on Defense and offense.

1. With how many players are tested positiv it will be canceled

2. A really near comparison for haliburton is a former european player..Sure the most will say that this player was more athletic cause he was the best defender in his ära and a swiss army knife at guard but the way they move...the height...the body....welcome dimitris diamantidis....

A Player who never played overseas but he had the potential to play

Firmly disagree.

Wow, what a season to finally bottom out. :banghead:

Hope the management gets their scouting right and that we are lucky enough to land a star player in the draft.

Later round PGs that intrigue me. Tyrell Terry & Kira Lewis.

Is Ball really that good? He seems slow and ugly shot. I dunno maybe it's the name but he just does not seem like a good idea.

Edwards. He looks like a ridiculous talent.
Hope the Pistons can land him in the draft.

This is how I feel about Ball and I’m confused why others don’t see it.

I think its his last name to go with the fact he is a elite passer at 6'7 making some nice highlight reels. Im sure most people have never got to really sit and watch him though to see how flawed he can be . I never actually got to watch a live game of his.

This was a nice clip of him though showing what he could be i guess but the competition isn't the greatest and that shot still looks ugly and almost feels lucky in this video.

One thing about Melo is that I keep seeing him listed as 6'7-6'8 PG. He is not that, he would be lucky to be 6'6 on a good day.

Probably 6'6-6'7 but still good height for a PG with that type of passing.

Assuming picks 9 through 14 remain as is I'd really like to move Luke for one of those:

Washington - IF Wall can come back healthy they might be looking to make a playoff push in the weak East and might not be interested in a rookie at #9.

Wall, Luke, Beal is a interesting perimeter trio that could play together or stagger the minutes.

Phoenix - #10 for Luke? Rubio, Booker and Luke is another interesting trio that could play together or you stagger the minutes.

Spurs - might be too savvy to deal a rookie contract for Luke but they do need a revamp and shooter in the backcourt. Luke seems like a fit with their culture too.

Kings - might lose Bogs, might move Heild instead, might do lots of things. Luke would be a replacement for the dude they lose/move at a reasonable price and would fit with Fox.

NOP - probably the only late Lotto team that doesn't seem like a fit for Luke since they have Jrue, Ball, JJ & a couple of kids. They probably keep their pick for a wing.

POR - need more firepower off their bench with Hood going down, Little hasn't proven anything yet. Simons and Trent Jr are nice and all but at 14 I doubt the guy available brings what Luke could to a team with serious playoff aspirations.

Any of those teams (except NOP) make a lot of sense for Luke and there's a few guys I'm interested in at the back end of the Lotto.

Does anyone know when the Lottery will actually take place?

I think RJ Hampton might be this year’s under the radar gem. I get Westbrook vibes from him. Plus he passes the name test
