he'll be available there. i don't think it's too much of a reach but i get a feeling that if ainge does like kira, he'll try to trade down to grab kira + picks

i'm confident he'll probably go in the first round. i think the lakers could use him.

JALEN HARRIS

video

@1:21 — Harris' defender steals the ball off a bad cross-court pass which turns into a breakaway transition. Harris gets the chasedown block.

@1:37 — Drives left, gets cut off, quickly passes back out, leading to a hockey assist.

@1:46 — From the corner, Harris catches his man sleeping and goes baseline to catch a lob for a dunk. Head at rim.

@2:14 — Uses some nifty footwork off the drive to create some separation and hits the fadeaway J out of the short corner.

Harris is 22 before the draft and is solid prospect as far as floor, but pretty much maxed out as far as upside imo. late 2nd in this one is fair

Just finished my new big board. Still toying with back end of 2nd round (55-60), but it's pretty much locked in everywhere else and won't be changed until new info comes to light or someone sells me on moving someone up/down.

Top 75:

Kira at 17 is definitely not a reach. I'll be surprised if he drops past the magic

Most people are going to jump on here and tell you he won't be available in the mid-20s. I think there's a chance he's available at 17, though.

Some people are really high on him. Some have him top 10. Others have him at 15-20 on their board.

I think Lewis Jr. would be interesting at 17 for the Celtics, but I'm not sure where he gets a bunch of developmental minutes being stuck behind Walker, Smart, Brown, and Langford.

I doubt Lewis would play much as a rookie. Langford hasn’t played much this year but is expected to play more next year. I imagine that if Boston got Lewis at #17 this would be their rotation:

Kemba / (vet min signing)
Brown / Langford
Hayward / Smart
Tatum / G. Williams
Theis / Kanter / R. Williams

Langford is replacing Semi Ojeleye to hopefully bring more offensive punch (luckily the defensive versatility of Smart allows a wing to replace a forward).

That one year backup PG would replace Wanamaker and Lewis would follow a similar development track to getting a rotation spot in year 2 while he learns the defensive schemes/timing in practice.

Ultimately I think Lewis’ skill set is an ideal system fit. I view him as someone who would follow the Terry Rozier development track on Boston. Year 1 - not play a lot. Year 2 - play regularly but take your lumps. Year 3 - emerge as a legit player. Year 4 for Rozier got murky because Kyrie was here, but for Lewis he’d get to start because Kemba is set to expire that year. So I think he’d be a great succession plan.

Really enjoyed watching and breaking down Terry’s game. I wish he played with a little more of that Steph/Trae swag and confidently jack up some more off the bounce threes but regardless that stroke is sweet. I think if he has the ball in his hands more at the next level he’s gonna be a better passer than he showed at Stanford.

I'm a Celtics fan and I think Danny is going to address our lack of bench scoring in the draft, I think that comes from a scoring guard. Will he try and trade up for cole anthony, take Kira lewis or go for someone else? I like Markus Howard in the second and we can focus on forwards in the first

Celtics already have enough undersized scoring guards.

My guess is they will target wings and bigs.

A few names that come to mind:

Okongwu (trade up)
Avdija (trade up)
Vassell (trade up)
Hughes
Doolittle
Harris
Winston
Woodard
Oturu
Richards

we only have one who actually scores, Kemba (obviously), but Carsen isn't efficient, Wannamaker can't shoot and Tremont is tiny as well as a passer. A wing would be great but im not sold on vassel as a scorer and Saddiq likely won't be available at 17 nor would i trade up for avidja. we need to hit on this draft because its the last time we have multiple picks and one close to the lottery because we'll be capped out and we have bigs who know their role, so my guess is a wing. Howard though is too much value in the second and Carsen is still worth something in a trade so will they wait for who's available or try to get their guy, I think everybody wants nesmith but coud the celtics steal him by trading up to maybe 7-12?

I'm surprised Tyler Bey isnt projected to go higher. He has best wing defense in the NBA type potential, and the form on his jumpshot isnt awful. If he could become a decent shooter, he'd be an impact stat darling

Agree, hes gonna be a solid role player for a playoff team and shouldn't slip from the late 20s in my opinion.

And watch him play, he's got good BBIQ. Knows when to make the right pass, right cut, and he has a great motor on the glass. He's legit a jumpshot away from being a top tier role player, and thats amazing value for a 20's pick. A lot of guys come out of college as non shooters and are able to become solid to great in the NBA. If a team thinks they can make him into a good shooter, they should jump at the opportunity. I hope the raps get him. They already have a proven track record of rebuilding jump shots (OG, Norm Powell, Terence Davis, Siakam...)
