One Player From Each Decade......

Post#1 » by Profound23 » Mon Jun 29, 2020 2:24 am

Make your best starting five:

You can only take one player from the 70s, 80s, 90, 2000s, 2010s

Caveats are:
-The player had to have played at least six seasons in that decade
-You must draft a COMPLETE starting five. A pure PG, SG, SF, PF, C (meaning no using something like two shooting guards and playing one at SF)

Wilt didn't play 6 years in the 70's.

And Jordan didn't play 5 years in the 80s. I mean I don't see an issue with having Wilt as a 70s player. It just wouldn't be his best years I reckon.

Yeah he did. 84/85 to-89/90. I dunno, I didn't make the damn rules. But 3 seasons ain't enough.

Oh I missed the 6 year thing. Ignore my answer then. Don't really care enough to look into this criteria.

Lol what? His Jordan pick is clearly for the 90s. That had to be spelled out?

I mean as in he missed 5 seasons in the 80s, the same way Wilt missed 6 seasons in the 70s.

Also, two of those seasons for Jordan was his rookie season and a season where he missed the entire regular season. (Wilt missed most of the 1970 season also)

Oh it was six years in the decade. Dunno how I got it in my head it was drafted in the decade.

Shaq 00s, so Duncan out, 70sfan at PF

Seems like you're kinda screwed if you don't take KAJ at C. Theres no other powerhouse that was 6 years in the 70s.

Center - KAJ (70s)
PF - Larry Bird (80s)
SF- Lebron James (00s)
SG- Michael Jordan (90s)
PG- Steph Curry (10s)

If theres an issue with Bird being in the PF spot, which I dont think there should be...

C - KAJ (70s)
PF - TD (00s)
SF - LBJ (10s)
SG - Jordan (90s)
PG - Magic (80s)
