Heavy Rotation for this album:

And the super hero allegories on this are some of my favorite penmanship of the year. Especially in tandem with the way he plays with the delivery.

"Pac was Clark Kent, Biggie was Bruce Wayne; we watched beef among A-1's
The death of Superman I was way young, but where I came from,
being broke was like a superpower, I put my cape on.

Watching my heroes fall, I'm tired of watching my heroes fall.

Now all I see is their power weakening and chinks in their armor.
Either that or I'm even stronger...
I guess I finally became one, I guess it's on me to save one
My bad that's the fear and ego speaking I can't escape 'em

As Gotham falls, design a wall just to hide my flaws
Suit up like Kung Fu Kenny, T'challa Wakanda calls
Double R, X the Professor that got 'em all.
Fallin' off, now he back on that Kryptonite, it's not his fault
Cuz all that pressure busts pipes, addicted by the fall
Marshal locked in Arkham Asylum, outside is Marshall Law
Donald like Dr. Claw, Thanos with the gauntlet on
Kanye dropped the ball co-signing a monster at comic con.

Watching my heroes fall, I'm tired of watching my heroes fall."

I've gotten tears in my eyes on more than one occasion when the playlist gets to a few words for the firing squad.

This one hits in all kinds of ways. Sheesh.

no doubt.

I ended up downloading RTJ on their website this week. Listened to the entire album as one song. It's actually pretty dope listening to it that way because of how the album flows.

I love the sample on this ish.

That J. Cole track apparently referenced Noname, so she came back with this. I think they both went in.

Griselda and Gangsta Gibbs are never leaving rotation.
If you have no critics you'll likely have no success.

I know a lot of y'all are going to enjoy this one with me!

Even though I love Fab's catalogue, I got Kiss in this - especially so with with Fab's domestic violence problems.

As much as I love Fabolous, he can't even come close to touching Jada's catalog. It was pretty fun to watch, but there's not many rappers dead or alive that are going verse for verse with Jadakiss.

Twisted Jada smoked Fab, but the DJs didn't do either one of em justice. Part of me wanted to hear Kiss on Shootouts, but their B-Sides would be unreal too

this song is flawless to me. powerful, self-aware, thoughtful.

i knew lil baby would be great, but he's on a quicker pace than i expected. this and his album show there is so much more than you might have thought if "yes indeed" was your intro (as was the case for me).

one of my friends asked on his podcast who is the big 3 of the 2020s?

of course it's too early to say, but of who's active, who do you think those will be?

a lot of votes went to lil baby, dababy, roddy ricch. i advocate for ybn cordae. can griselda get into the conversation in their 40s, seeing that they are on the way up in their late 30s?

Fab should of been against Cam

Sigel vs Jada though I hear Sigel isn’t doing well these days...

i thought fab was going to beat jada before because fab has a lot of big hits. i always figured jada always had big joker in "benjamins." but fab has a lot of big tunes under his belt that were more pop friendly.

i figured whoever controlled the tone would win. if jada could keep it about the bars, that would level it. if it turned into a hits battle, i figured fab could run away with it.

I could see that, but Fab has fly bars and Cam has fly bars. It would have been a battle of Swag of BK vs Harlem. Like whoever was planning this could have sold that battle so easy. The city itself would have stopped to watch it.

For Jada with Sigel being not in rapping shape. I don’t know who you put in there from his era. Like Push is both too new and too big for that vs., Gibbs isn’t built that way. I honestly don’t know who could give Jada’s catalog a legit battle. There are lyricist, but they aren’t street rappers.
