If he can swing the outcome in just one pivotal game I'll consider this a successful signing.

No James Jones? Ray Allen? j/k.

It must suck to be Isaiah Thomas though if JR gets a contract before him.

I wanted Lance Stevenson for his defense, but oh well.

He looked like he was in great shape beating the hell out of the blm protester, so I'm optimistic.

For one, I believe JR will redeem himself.

Secondly, what's the rotation look like now Waiters and Smith on the team?

Lakers have 8 games to figure that out

Probably depends on how much defence Waiters and Smith can still play.

Smith moreso because he can probably body up the big wings better than Waiters.

Waiters will get time if he can show he can slow down opposing teams' point guards

How were they running things again? Completely forgot with this prolonged layoff

I'm assuming starting with:

LeBron
KCP
Green
AD
Javale

Then you got Rondo, Kuz, Dwight with the highest probability to come off the bench first. Caruso then Kieff next.

Still too deep. Waiters is a microwave scorer but I'm not sure how he'll perform in the playoffs, leaning towards JR here. Thinking Smith will eat more on Caruso and Kuz's minutes, and KCP's if he reverts to his inconsistent self. Rondo will still get his, assuming he can still turn Playoff Rondo on.

This could go very well for us, or very bad for us. I hope Waiters and Smith don't **** up.

The rotation is not going to change because of either Waiters or JR.

McGee - Howard
Davis - Morris
Green - Kuzma
KCP - Caruso
LeBron - Rondo

The rotations get tighter as the playoffs progress as well. The only scenario I can see them getting minutes is if Vogel wants to go ultra small for match up purposes with LeBron - AD and three guards, even then I expect the other three to be Green, KCP and Caruso to complete the line up unless there is foul trouble.

Even if he does this wearing a Lakers jersey, I still hate it.

I'm not sure we're pinning our hopes to an unproven (playoffs) Caruso as the primary backup at PG. The guards we will have to play eventually have eaten him alive. My guess is that JR will get decent minutes.

Can we just go back into lockdown now.

At least when we got Nick Young we sucked badly.
