With the players sitting out, and those coming in, coupled with the loss of 8 teams; this is turning into a different league.
Add to that, the isolation and lack of regular fans.

This is a whole different animal. A virtual mini-playoffs league.

June 30-July 7: In-market training camps
Individual workouts will be mandatory at this point, but team workouts will still be prohibited. At this point, head coaches will be allowed to participate.

July 7-11: Teams travel to Orlando
Teams will take either a bus or chartered flight to Orlando, and once they arrive, everyone will have to stay in their rooms until they test negative for COVID-19 twice.

July 9-29: Training camps in Orlando
At this point, teams may begin group workouts and practices. There will be regular COVID-19 testing, and players will be expected to remain on campus. If a player leaves, they will be subject to extra testing, as well as a 10-14-day quarantine period.

Starting on the 22nd, teams will begin playing scrimmages against other teams staying in their hotel. Each team will have three scrimmages.

July 30-Aug. 14: Seeding games
Each team will play eight "regular season" seeding games. Once teams are eliminated, they will immediately depart from the bubble environment.

Aug.15-16: Play-in tournaments
Aug. 17: Playoffs begin
Aug. 30: Family/guests of teams arrive
Aug. 31-Sept. 13: Conference semifinals
Sept. 15-Sept. 28: Conference finals
Sept. 30-Oct. 13: NBA Finals

Think the Scrimmages are going to be televised?

I’m confused by the “once teams are eliminated” part. So if a team is eliminated from playoff contention even? So there’s a chance some of these games don’t happen, like our last game against the Wizards for example? I’m assuming not, it’s just strange they would choose that wording in with the seeding games and not the playoffs portion.

Each team plays 8 games for seeding purposes, no matter what. 88 games total. A team in 9th place doesn't get eliminated right away as long as they're within 4 games of the 8th seed, IINM. Maybe that's why they worded it that way. NBA's lengthy rulebook on the restart would explain it better.

Not to sound all judge-y, but...

With only a few days left before departing for WDW bubble, one would think these players would be more cautious. Hit the gym, work out, then head home. That's it. Practice NOT GOING OUT now. If they're serious about this NBA restart with jobs and millions of dollars on the line, why jeopardize that at this point? I forgot which player said it -- if you know you won't be able to follow the rules/protocols, the bubble might not be for you, better to just stay home.

It's getting thinner and thinner.
Between those deciding not to go, and those who have tested positive, being delayed.

This version of the NBA is looking a little different.
Time for a Recalculation.

So by Dipo traveling with the team, but just choosing not to participate, he doesn’t have to give up the $3m and the Pacers can’t replace him. Very interesting

I wish NBA would come out with an official daily tally. How many players have tested positive on which dates since they began mandatory testing? No need to name names. Is this Heat player part of the 25 that have been tested positive?
