I'm so confused by why people like Hampton so much. He seems like the type of prospect the old Knicks would draft. Only thing he needs to do is kill his workout.

I wouldn’t take him with my first pick, but he could be something. Super athletic, super quick, and can shooting alittle. Reminds me of young Westbrook

Dream scenario would be to get Edwards and trade the Clippers 1st and Charlotte 2nd to move up and grab this kid.

Why isn't this kid projected to go in the lottery...?

Where us fans and all the so called draft experts have these guys projected to get drafted and where the GM's and their people/scouts have them projected to go are two different things so it'll be interesting to see where Lewis and many others actually do get drafted. Now if we could just get to the draft....

Knicks interview Seton Hall's Sandro Mamukelashvili.

Add another local product to the list of NBA draft prospects who have interviewed with the New York Knicks.
The New York Knicks are making sure to do their homework on draft prospects in their backyard. According to Adam Zagoria, the Knicks had a Zoom meeting with Seton Hall forward Sandro Mamukelashvili.

The Georgian-American player is the third Seton Hall Pirate that we have learned has met with the Knicks’ scouting staff. New York also interviewed guard Myles Powell and big man Romaro Gill from Seton Hall.

Mamukelashvili is testing the waters for the 2020 NBA Draft by not hiring an agent, which allows him to return to college for his senior season if he decides his draft prospects are limited.

This kid has a nice overall game. The new Knicks FO probably asked that if he decided to move on from the NCAA, to contact them and they'll give him an invite to camp.

That will make two starters who you are hoping can learn how to go right and they are now in the NBA. This isn't college. I'd rather have someone, yes, like Haliburton, who can step in and at least give us a little of everything along with a lot of flexibility.

Are we going to at least have some semblance of a NBA draft combine or individual workouts to test these guys? I'm not saying your wrong about Hayes but all of these guys seems to missing something at least at this young age, which makes it very difficult to prognosticate their future NBA careers.

I like Haliburton, but he struggles going left. A lot of young players are not good with their off hand. I still like both
players a lot though as I think its something they can both improve.

Does it make a big difference if we have 2 lefties/3 righties vs 1 lefty/4 righties on the floor?

Kira is my favorite consolation drive. He has that 4th gear to him and is so fluid around the rim.

Mecca - is Kira Lewis faster than Dennis Schroeder in the open court? Just trying to get a sense of his true in game speed at the next level.

I mean, Schroeder is a blur himself, so that’s tough. I’d say they’re on equal footing.

What I find interesting about Schroeder is that he seems to have turned into a good 3 point shooter. Last year he shot 38% on 5 attempts per game.

Is that Kiras ceiling in your opinion? A blur in the open court who can average 18-4-5 while knocking down the occasional 3. Or do you think he projects to be a better NBA player/more impactful than DS

De'Aaron Fox with less defense is DEFINITELY possible.

Schroeder was more chaotic in his younger days with the ball. Kira plays a bit more controlled.

Kira is lower on mocks because he is still in development mode, he doesn’t have a natural feel for the game at point guard just yet

He’s a poor decision maker and misses plays or is late to recognize a play. 5.2 assists with 3.5 turnovers a game. That’s not a starting lead guard in the NBA but I don’t have doubts he will get better the flashes are there.

He’s also kind of a twig which is why he dies on screens a lot or fails to convert at the rim at times

His biggest strength is his quickness but I like his potential as a shooter. I’d take him in the lotto but not with a high lottery pick like 6. I think he could end up a Darren Collison type of player

I'm sure it's been posted before but Pearlman coming through with a great breakdown of Kira's game:

https://www.thestepien.com/2020/03/06/kira-lewis-scouting-report/

So finishing at the rim is a struggle overall and yeah i didn't quite notice his slight frame at first. His end to end speed plus change of pace is so impressive. Always seems under control too. Those synergy stats are pretty eye popping. Seems like an elite talent with some holes in his game.

I'm intrigued even if he isn't someone to consider with our first pick.

Hughes is someone I like at #38; he's a better shooter than his %'s suggest, can shoot off the dribble too; he also seems to be a smart cutter

I never doubted his shooting, but it's good to see it getting more consistent since the return:

Here's a video of Deni breaking a film of his season at Maccabi Tel Aviv with a draft analyst from NBA on ESPN.
I will only cherish the wins and ignore everything else, because that's the only way to survive as a Knicks fan.
