we can't physically get 12 unless we trade down for whatever reason or trade up but its nice to see how we rank all the prospects. What else do we have to do?

Moocow, just curious, what do you think separates Vassel from Nesmith? Is it athleticism. or something else?

Patrick Williams, FSU

Williams or Vassell? (I haven't seen an honest spit of either - only curated highlights.)

Sorry. Somehow I must've posted a scouting video on Deni.

This is Patrick Williams. As for better scouting videos of him, we'll just have to keep posting highlights I guess.

Another on Patrick Williams. Someone here turned me on to him. He reminds me a little of Buck Williams in terms of size and body type but he may be more versatile. I like the form on his jump shot and his soft touch. This is just his freshman year too. Just wait until his body fills out when he becomes a real man.

Vassell is more explosive and has better ball skills IMO which to me says that he'll be a more versatile scorer in the NBA which in turn gives him a higher upside. I also like how Vassell attacks plays on both ends of the floor. Nesmith can shoot, there's no question about that but I see really more of a role player in Nesmith. Perhaps a terrific one but I would not take him right now in the lottery. Further down, yes.

Hes more fluid physically than Buck Williams but hasn't shown the offensive game around the basket that Buck had. Buck was a much better rebounder but rarely passed the ball. Patrick Williams has shown he has some passing ability as well as the ability to handle the ball for a guy built like him. I see more a James Johnson type player trajectory for him which is not bad at all. Williams does seem to shoot better than Bloodsport which could make him more versatile offensively.

I voted Poku because I think he is the best pick available.

At this moment, I saw 3 votes for Terry and 0 for Malédon. IMO, Terry can't be picked before Malédon. I watched some videos of Terry's Highlights and ... he is absolutely not a safe pick. Of course he has some potential, but defense was such a low level on highlights, that Ithink with his body, with a NBA defense, he wouldn't be able to score as he does in Highlights. It would be very hard for him.

So, for people who picked Terry before Malédon:
Do you think Terry really better than Malédon or simply you think Malédon's profile is too closed to Frank's one?
LA 2028 (Starters):
Francisco - Strazel - Malédon - Traoré ?
Coulibaly - Fournier
Risacher - Cordinier
Yabusele- Hoard - Essengue/Penda?
Wembanyama - Lessort - Raynaud / Beringer /Sarr?

I voted Poku for upside, but Patrick Williams might be up there with one of my next choices. He looks like he fits the modern 4 type, as a versatile player. Seems like he should be able to develop into at least a solid 3 point shooter too.

yeah, he's still playing in Greece's B division b/c he's not physically ready yet. When KP came over he weighed 233, Poku is even slighter at around 200. It'll probably take a couple years to add the weight he needs

really like him as a prospect and he kind of reminds me of the KP situation. KP originally declared in 2014 and was projected around a mid-late 1st rounder, but opted out of the draft, returned in 2015 to become a top 5 pick. Maybe Poku has a similar trajectory, making it wise to invest in him

At the same time, I also really like Nesmith and Bey (who should be added to subsequent polls IMO), both of who can help right away w/ their ability so space the floor

sure. the other side of this is giannis looked way off (and he was) when he was taken. i am comfortable with poku with our second first rounder, but not our first... even if it fell to 10 i think we could do better.

i understand the risk/investment part tho.
RIP magnumt

thanks for everything, thibs.

"The first thing we do, let's kill all the lawyers."

*I* *haven't* *seen* - not you haven't posted your piddling 4 minutes "scouting report"

.... which now I watch it turns out to also be 4.25 of curated highlights with only the lightest of text caption commentary - or does the guy never do anything wrong?

Way to go on not answering my question, too.

It all comes down to his jumper. It looks bad, but it's def possible he can develop one. It could take some time. If he doesn't learn to shoot the floor might be low. Tough to play wings that can't shoot especially on this team.

I still might have a little higher then #12 though.

yeah I think the two guards who are a bit of a need for the knicks are a bit higher then where most have them so they probably get bumped down a bit for a couple of the guys that either just went off the board or soon to go off the board.

William's style of play is very much like Vonleh's or even a Chandler Wilson, but I believe William's has a higher basketball I.Q. just his knowledge of where to be on the court is something special. His 3pt shot is more accurate too. But Williams is someone most teams could use just on his defense alone.

Yea, it seems like a massive tier around this range where need might play a part. A team that could use a wing and has some shooting might have Okoro higher on their board. For the Knicks, they may look more at PGs or wings that project to be better shooters. Gonna be tough to play another non-shooter unless they are an elite talent or look like much better prospects.

I think Okoro def has some potential, but hard to say if he will ever get there or how long he may take to develop.
