If we fall to #8, I think Vassell would have to be the pick. Unless by some miracle we still get Haliburton/Anthony @ #8. But if anyone but Charlotte, or Minn jumps us in the lottery, we could potentially see 3 PGs go before we pick. Are Haliburton/Anthony even equal to Vassell as prospects?

I would prefer Haliburton over Vassell mostly due to Haliburton's passing/vision. But Vassell might be right after him if he's off the board.

Still not sure about Cole. Think I might pass on him at #8.

I don't think there's any way cole and haliburton are both gone by #8 but hypothetically say they did go 6 and 7, that would mean that someone else good would have dropped to us at 8, if you take lamelo/wiseman/edwards as top 3, that means 4 and 5 could only be 2 other people, maybe hayes and avdija? In that case I would take okoro. and would have to go with okongwu and toppin over him as well. But I think it's very likely that Cole is available there

i wasn't suggesting the #1 pick alone. of course you'd have to make that pot HELLA sweet. AND the suns aren't interested if book isn't trying to get out. no disagreement here.

i see the talent, but i have a bad feeling about this guy. and i don't love what i've seen about his leadership and passing/decision making. let alone defense. he looks really talented, which is sad because i had really high expectation for him coming into UNC.

we might target booker in 2023 on the last year of his deal if he's stated he wants to test free agency and the suns think he will walk for nothing or in 2024 free agency but I don't think any kind deal is imminent. In the meantime I hope we build through the draft for a few more years

I believe there's a strong chance Cole Anthony will still be AROUND @8.

Yea, there was a lot of rough patches at UNC. I know the team wasn't good, but also wonder if a lot of it was Cole trying to do too much and just not being good enough to be that type of high usage player. He might have to reinvent himself as more of an off the ball shooter or a scoring guard off the bench. Think there will def be a place for him, just not sure it's as a starting PG on a good team.

He’s criminally underrated imo. He can easily end up one of the better point guards in this draft

NBA 3 point range
He can create off the dribble as a shot maker
He can catch and shoot
Good rebounder for his size

His defense is nothing to write home about but he’s no sucker on defense he fights over screens and give the effort

Biggest draw back would be his playmaking And considering the roster he was surrounded by I can live with that

word. i have no question he will stick in the league. i was hoping he'd come into that scoring lead guard lane, but he doesn't look like the facilitator you want at the next level. i think he would fit well in an offense like portland's where they have two scoring attacking guards putting pressure on the perimeter at all times.
