That logo looks way cool, but the name seems contrived. What do red wolves have to do with DC?

Nothing to do with DC per se, but they did roam in this area at one point.

Maybe, but I thought they were known for roaming the Carolinas - not DC.

Who cares if it has a Washington tie in. Is New York filled with Giants? Bears in Chicago? Rams, Raiders, whatever wherever. Frankly the area specific mascots often seem gimmicky to me, trying too hard. If we were the Washington Justice I'd be okay with it, but mostly from an ironic standpoint. I'm fine with Redwolves, though think the "R" logo is dumb looking. Just use the W and it stands for Washington and 'Wolves, and Winning, (one hopes). Worked for the Nats, right?

About as much as the Wizards do.

Or the Bears do to Chicago:

I could live with it and would love to see this logo and an alternate burgundy curly W

I"ve seen mock-ups of the curly W and to me it doesn't fit on a football uniform like it does in baseball. I don't really like "Red Wolves" name either, and the logo idea feels more like a college mascot than a pro team (but I will say doing the logo in the shape of an "R" is sort of cool).

"Red Tails" is still my favorite, if only because of the updated fight song a couple pages back lol. And also because they wouldn't have to do much to the color scheme. Alternatively, I've always been sort of partial to "Washington Federals" for some reason. If they start to get called "The Feds" some might object to the law enforcement angle based on current tensions, but I'd be cool with it.

I was fine with "Warriors" which seems to have become the betting favorite. But I'm now kinda liking "Red Wolves." Sounds mean and hungry. :D

My cousin was a wide receiver with the USFL team Washington Federals.

Justice sounds really good to me. But yeah, I'm fine with Redwolves. As long as they win and have a halfway decent name, I'll be happy.

I wouldn't mind RedHawks. They look extremely cool, and the name sounds a lot better than RedTails - as much as I have great admiration for what they did in Tuskegee.

I'm hearing Generals and Presidents are being considered. Stunningly awful!

Agree Presidents would be awful (although if they did that and came out with orange uni's it would be a heckuva troll job lol). But Generals has potential depending on the logo IMO.

Gotta admit. I don’t understand what your post or Hernandez’s tweets mean.

Can you explain?
