thats why a team should claim his contract in the 48 hour window. No long term investmentSpoiler:

funny thing- i have a great deal in mind for a gm where i could use that howard contract but i know he wont give up "one" asset![]()
if he would have i would have cleared it for you...

you know he has to end up back with LAC right. the goat elfrid and KCP can't start the season on different teams.

I don't really need the cap space this year anyway.
I have enough room to buyout Tyler Johnson and roster/sign all my rookies. And my offseason for the most part is complete. I see the cap space savings next year which is the most important so hopefully so of my draft picks are worthy for extensions. I have no player this year that needs an extension.

yeah im just excited to finally start building a "core". Now I have 3 pieces. MPjr, WCjr, and Davis locked up on good contracts for 4-5 years. I also opened up another roster spot so I am basically able to roster all my rookies (was super important to me). Already opened 2 and Tyler Johnson will be bought out at some point before the draft unless someone trades for him or he is part of a larger deal.
But nice to finally start seeing the core being built. Even before the big draft.
youre really not trading one of your picks?
like I said I haven't had any really discussions about my picks yet just some back and forth with a few people. But I think I have been up front that I plan on at least having the ability to make all my picks. Whether I actually do come draft day or not remains to be seen. I will be open to many conversations when I am on the clock and weigh my options. Especially if certain players fall to me I might be open to trading up/down or completely out of the draft. But very difficult to move picks without knowing how the draft will shake out.
But at least I can not be held to negotiations saying hey you have to clear roster spots you have to trade a pick because of it.

Yea, i like what you did clearing out your roster spots and cap for your draft. Some nice pickups too with Wendall Carter to add to your core. MPJ has been looking good too
