Expecting Biden to just become Bernie is a pointless exercise

70% of Americans want it.

Where are the 70% located? If it's heavily tilted towards NY, MA, IL, NJ, and CA... that percentage doesn't matter.

Find the polling by state....

PT, are you really going to play electoral politics with healthcare programs? Is that how FDR did it?

we're not in the 1930s Wingo.... have you seen our current iteration of Congress and the Judiciary? Explain to me how you can get any major legislation done with how things are?

Then they should have voted for it

That doesn’t excuse Biden from politicizing the issue. People voted for Trump too. How’s that work out?

Biden isn't politicizing the issue. He just disagrees with M4A being the right path forward.

He's disagreed with it as a solution from the beginning, and people voted for him over the guy who advocated for it.

Why should he change it now? We will probably have a Covid vaccine by the time he's sworn in, if he wins.

He's giving the people what they voted for.

I would LOVE to hear say that.

You just said that he did it for political reasons earlier. You walking that one back? :D

I was being tongue-in-cheek.

Biden is doing what is politically smart to win an election, which is sticking to the platform that he won the primary with, and doesn't allow him to be painted as some radical.

If the people wanted M4A over everything else, they had the chance to express that.

p.s. This would be a good place to start a new thread (part II). The first one was so action packed. Let's take it to a higher ground.
