I think there is too much money tied up in Power 5's for them to cancel. Ivy doesn't even give athletic scholarships.

Something else I've heard from a lot of Coaches I know at the D1 level is they expect College Basketball to start around January 1st as of now.

Harvard announced students will have to pay full tuition, even if classes are online only. Makes me wonder where that college money is actually going if the schools need to continue collecting the full amount from students.

Well schools are businesses at the end of the day. Peoples salaries are guaranteed, and you know those Deans and higher ups don't make nothing.

Some schools are businesses. Most schools are non-profits and receive special tax exemptions, as well as federal/state funding in the forms of direct money or grants.

I'm sorry, but Non-Profits are businesses too. The people that work for a non-profit organization still make a profit. The organization just doesn't.

Welcome to America.

I think we’re on the same page about what these “non-profit” universities really are. Just discussing the semantics.

He is right. If a school’s athletics program is a source of revenue the school relies on, the school has a perspective problem with how it generates revenue.
