I'm sorry but in this case I got to keep it real. I like Goya beans and I'm not gonna stop eating Goya beans, particularly the black beans with low sodium/sea salt. Who's with me? We can't let them defeat us on this. If they win here, what's next? Tabasco sauce? No, not on my watch.

Progressivism update from Deep in the Heart of Texas. But first, a little musical interlude compliments of Roy Benson and Asleep at the Wheel to get us in the mood. Then we’re going to mess with Texas.

Now, as long as William Barr doesn't pay her a midnight jail house visit and leave instructions to the staff to break the closed-circuit cameras and to take nap time together while Maxwell is strangled in her sleep, it looks like we've got a doozy of a trial coming.

===============

Ghislaine Maxwell, the longtime associate of Jeffrey Epstein who has been charged with helping him recruit, groom and ultimately sexually abuse girls as young as 14, was denied bail on Tuesday by a judge who said she posed a high risk of fleeing before her trial.

The judge, Alison J. Nathan of Federal District Court in Manhattan, said Ms. Maxwell had demonstrated a sophisticated ability to hide herself and obscure her financial resources.

Prosecutors argued at the hearing that Ms. Maxwell had provided “implausible” statements about her finances, including that she had no income.

“Ms. Maxwell poses a substantial actual risk of flight,” Judge Nathan said.

People who are the intelligence assets of some nation are good at that and get the appropriate training.

I mean, it's not only those kind of people who do that, but in this case, I'd say part of that is tradecraft.

That explains Ivanka's shilling (which in her position is a violation of federal law, but she's a Trump so ...............)

Aye yi yi, seriously one of the worst moves to damage a company's goodwill I've ever seen. Sure, there are Trumpy Latinos out there, but there sure are a hell of a lot that are not down with this BS and who support BLM.

Goya has real brand recognition that totally transcended the Hispanic market. Pretty amazing blunder. Hashtags out there now are #Goyaway and #BoycottGoya

That's the arbitrage that matters most in this election. It is probably a more accurate indicator than polling aggregates, because this kind of granular question cuts to the bone of the so-called Silent Majority Trump keeps babbling about. If people are ashamed of admitting they still support Trump, then the amount of people fibbing would have to transcend that enthusiasm gap and I don't see how that is possible at this point.

Biden’s recent surge in the race against Trump owes in large part to independent voters, according to Quinnipiac, with Biden leading among the group 51 percent to 34 percent. In June, the poll found independents split between the two candidates, with 43 percent backing Biden and 40 percent backing Trump.

Rona is not going to give Trump chances at a miracle victory.

He lied and told her "you're a hoax."

Then he scorned her and said, "You'll go away."

And she isn't having it.

The real professionals are telling us if we don't handle this second wave, the third wave in the Fall during flu season will be a tsunami.

"Tsunami it is. ByeDon," said Rona.

I want to win, but I don't want what's happening to happen like this and I'm afraid it will. Our government is in a shambles and can't deal with this crisis.

These national polls are nice, but they are less informative than the state polls.

It's very nice to see that Biden is polling outside of the MOE in places like PA, FL, and MI, and that those margins are pretty steady from poll to poll.
