President Trump told two senior Russian officials in a 2017 Oval Office meeting that he was unconcerned about Moscow’s interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election because the United States did the same in other countries

Re: The Washington Redskins Thread
Well, things that make it look bad:
1. Larry Michael suddenly quitting - not retiring - after 18 years, and there's no explanation and no reaction from the team.
2. They just fired 2 team executives with no explanation.
3. Reports that all the minority owners are looking - somewhat frantically - to sell and apparently have found no buyers.
4. This was the offseason they finally cut ties with Allen. Maybe it wasn't just about football?
5. The scandal about the cheerleaders trip to Costa Rica a few years ago and how horribly they were treated in general... how was that ever resolved? Was it ever resolved?
6. Losing every year leads to a toxic organizational culture.

It MIGHT be worse than all of that if the rumors are true...

Really hoping it's not Epstein being connected to the Skins organization.

Snyder is such a garbage person, if that's what it takes for him to be forced out I'm hoping for Epstein connections and more.
This could be a Sterling/Clippers type situations, and if Larry Michael retiring and Santos/Mann firings are signs of things to come, there's no way Snyder can feign ignorance and claim he wasn't involved.
Cuban got the benefit of the doubt, does Snyder have anywhere near the charisma and clout to escape scrutiny?
I think not.

Let’s all place our bets on what it is.
I’ll start.
I think it has to do with rewarding players and investors with sexual favors.

I hear that there are 4 or 5 things/rumors, and any one of them would be really bad, if true.
Hows that for nothing...?

Yeah, we obviously still don't know all the facts, but so far... this could be a case of a few bad apples... that are now gone... and a bad HR department - and possibly nothing bad done by Snyder - other than very poor leadership. Have to wait to see the results of the investigation. Seems like a lot of the media (local and national) is overdoing their public convicting of the Skins. 15 complains is a lot, but they're from over a decade. That doesn't sound at all unprecedented - obviously not saying it's a good thing - but should the Skins be singled out? I don't know. Sounds like the worst thing Snyder did was try to make a former male cheerleader to do a cartwheel. Oh how horrible.
At first glance - the Costa Rica thing with the cheerleaders seems a lot worse, tbh.

Re: The Washington Redskins Thread
Genius PR by the Redskins:
(1) In the run up to the story, spread rumors that Dan Snyder was hanging on Epstein Island, there were Sandusky/Nassar-level predators roaming Redskins Park, this will be one of the worst NFL scandals of all time, etc.
(2) Fire the people actually named in the story. Hire big-name lawyer to critique team culture.
(3) The story finally comes out and the most serious allegations are Larry Michael and two guys nobody's ever heard of making crude comments. Larry Michael turning out to be a creep being perhaps the least shocking Redskins news of the Snyder era.
(4) Story dies after one news cycle.

Re: The Washington Redskins Thread
Making the guy do cartwheels doesn't even get into the top 10 all time "Snyder is an ****" stories. Some of my favorites are the time he made a couple players snap and hold for him while he tried to kick field goals (that mostly bounced along on the ground), the time he tried to make other NFL owners call him "Mr. Snyder" at a social event and the host asked him to leave, and being picked up by a limo to be driven some ridiculously small distance between a helicopter and an entrance to Redskins Park.

Re: The Washington Redskins Thread
Snyder is a slimy weasel, but in terms of culpability perhaps the only thing that rises to the level of personal responsibility are the pressure sales tactics employed by the organization, and even that's a stretch.
Ron Rivery seems like a good dude, let's hope he doesn't burn himself out dealing with all this extra bull he is seeing himself confronted with.
Snyder is not ever going to change, but perhaps he will eventually luck into a sustained stretch of success.

The cartwheel thing made me laugh. I mean... every rookie in the NFL goes through some kind of hazing that's at least 10 times worse than that.
Snyder's an AWFUL owner, but the media is taking a lot of cheap shots at him now. Even the Junkies this morning were saying the Commish should basically force him to sell. Do they even have any female employees?
