Almost every team has a top player they will need to resign at a high price though. So I don’t expect any steals, 2 at most.

I agree, I don't think there will be any steals...I just think there will be so many teams with a ton of $$$ that this idea that people wont throw tons of money at potential FA's to steal them I don't believe is accurate.

Maybe but I don’t see much teams doing that cause most of us have to resign players first before trying to steal. Unless that team has nobody to resign and is only planning on stealing lol

I told y’all it was a bad idea with extensions that low, but it is what it is... I think only Hoffa backed me on that one when we were voting

its only low if you start paying your rookie double in his 2nd year (which only a few prospects get that extension). If you wait to extend the price continues to go up.

You really don't see role playing rookie getting extended on the quickness because 40-50 is not cheap for just a role player. The only bargains are superstar...which don't come along that often.

You really don't see role playing rookie getting extended on the quickness because 40-50 is not cheap for just a role player. The only bargains are superstar...which don't come along that often.

haha yeah, and you deserve the right to retain SGA for cheap because lets be honest...rookies there 1st year aren't really productive in the sim and unless they set the world on fire year 2 probably isn't great either for the SIM finally to catch up to rookies 4 years of contract is not crazy.

I think the extension rule was perfect or it really would make drafting prospects pointless because the SIM catches up to real life. Luka is a top 5 player in the NBA and the SIM no where near has him on that level yet. Its probably not until year 3 he finally gets his due. Otherwise if you didn't have that extension KOC would literally have 1-2 years to enjoy Luka which really is not accurate if you are a real life team. They sign rookie extensions in the NBA much lower than the max too.

Its just the really good players look like bargains too because they are but only a few are like that.
