Indiana is not a big destination for free agents. They can't afford to lose him

Pritchard is a great GM, he'll figure out a way to get something back in return if he thought Oladipo would leave.

He's going to Miami, maybe as soon as next off-season. Oladipo shares the same agent as Wade and has expressed strong interest (through his inner circle) in playing in Miami alongside Butler, and possibly Giannis. Just like the summer of 2010, when the Heat got Lebron, Wade and Bosh, Miami is going all in for the summer of 21-22

What? Never heard of any rumors that Dipo wants to leave?

Lots of players share the same agents. It doesn't mean anything. Plus Dwayne Wade is retired. Zero chance Giannis goes to Miami.

It doesn't matter is Wade is retired, he still has an agent and is very good friends with Oladipo.

A lot of people were saying before 2010, zero chance Miami gets all three (Lebron, Wade & Bosh). Miami was clearing up space for the summer of 2010 and rumors were very heavy in Miami that Lebron wanted to be in Miami. Now, Miami once again has been clearing up space for a few seasons for a shot at Giannis. Plus, Giannis does not work out during the off-season with any player, "except" with Bam Adebayo (from the Heat) who also shares the same agent. Giannis, as a captain of the all star team selects first (after selecting his own teammate) Bam Adebayo and then Jimmy Butler. Riley knows something about Giannis, just like he knew something about the summer of 2010 and Lebron, that's why he cleared up almost 100% of room to sign all three players (no other team did that back then). Not very often he just swings for the fences and misses. Remember this post if or when Giannis ends up in Miami.

I wonder if state responses to pandemic will play a role. If some cities are still contagion vectors and if bubbles don't prove effective Miami might be pretty scary.

well that's great except isn't it problematic that the heat would probably have to trade bam to clear space for Giannis and dipo ?

Unless there is a tweak to the CBA, the salary cap is going down drastically because of COVID-19. Nobody else will be able to pay him. I guess someone could send Indiana some draft picks in a sign and trade, but he has only had one good season and he is two years removed from that.
