Not a fan of the change.
But at least, if you're gonna change, don't give us College Park jerseys. That's both hideous and plain at the same time.
Throwback? Throwback to what?
Giant fail.

I personally love em. Would make the font a lil more glossy but a mega improvement over the volt and the stupid texture pattern, if these are our mains. Nobody ever talks about this but if I’m a big free agent and I picture myself in the volt get-up, it would be a tough sell to get me to come to Atlanta. But these? Well I think Giannis would look fantastic in these.

Re: Spirit of Atlanta
Someone suggested maybe those are just the "city" editions, not something that will be worn regularly. Can only hope.
Honestly, could there be anything more generic than that?
I get the wish that we could have something plain like the Celtics that would be considered iconic. But you don't make something "iconic" just by making it plain. As someone else pointed out, you had to actually have won big in a plain-uni era (50s, 60s and maybe some 70s) for it to be iconic.
Stating the obvious, our iconic era was not that era, at least not the ATL Hawks. Our iconic era, again obviously and so far, was during the Nique years. So, something like this, marrying the modern triangles and newest font with the pac-mans would be SOOOO much more appealing, at least from where I sit.
and though I love having our own unique place in the color pallette, if you really want to give up on volt, there's...

It took me awhile to adjust to the triangles and volt. They grew on me.
I'm cool with these.
Gone are Torch Red, Granite Gray and Volt.
What fancy color names will Koonin be cooking up?
Fire Red, Midnight Black and Yellange (YellowOrange )

Re: Spirit of Atlanta
All last year during the 25 year anniversary when the Hawks were wearing all sorts of retro uniforms I became very frustrated that they never wore the Dominique/Spud era jerseys. Those are obviously the best Hawks kits of all time.
Then this announcement yesterday with reference to the human highlight era I assumed that this meant the team was going to switch to the Dominique era jerseys full time. It finally made sense why they never wore them last year as they were saving them for this big reveal. But, then I see the jersey in the photo and I'm very confused. What do those black jerseys have to do with the human highlight era? I've never seen those before. Did ATL wear those during Dominique's time and I just don't remember?

FWIW...
... and are we really going to keep being one of those teams that every 5 years acts like THIS IS IT!!!!!... we've FINALLY settled on THE distinctive ATL uni that will DEFINE our franchise!!!!
And are we really going to do this pendulum swing where we go from creative to plain to creative to plain to creative to plain?
Get me off this ride. And give me Hunter Jones' inventions above, and let it be said and done. Switch out the "city" edition from time to time if that gets you excited. But let our primary unis be settled. Please.

They are better than what we currently have.
I still hate the yellow.
Please NEVER get a yellow jersey.

much better than the current uniforms. I'm kinda getting my wish in that they are at least modeled after the classic Nique era 80's uniforms, but I would've loved if they went even more similar to the 80s ones. Love those 80s unis.
Don't really care for the black one, but really like the other two. I might actually get one...or at least the t-shirt version since 50 year old chunky white dudes don't really look good in basketball jerseys.

Re: Spirit of Atlanta
This is how I think about it, fwiw.
... but, of course, the video Hawks PR dept produced attempts to advance that fairly-obvious blatant lie. The only thing this has in common with the pac-mans is the red and yellow.
Memo to Hawks PR. The emperor has no clothes, and few of us are as gullible as you evidently think we are.
And please don't insult our intelligence, as well, by insinuating that this will be the last-ever ATL uni. Hardly anyone is ignorant that these things are pre-planned merchandise-sales (aka, revenue-producer) plays, and you'll have the next "last-ever" ATL uni in another 5 years or so.
The only way they could have done worse than a G-league red/yellow/white uni that hearkens back to the Steve Hawes era?
Go with a G-league blue/red/white uni.
