I wonder how the cap will be affected for future seasons. 6 million is a lot of money when they need to pay Clark and Bakhtiari. Jones and Linsley would be nice to get back also. I also have hope for King, but he needs to stay healthy.

Packers drafted a TE in the last two drafts. I doubt they would give up much for him plus he is a free agent in 2 years.

Rodgers advances stats were a huge step higher when Jared Cook was on the field. Njoku has similar rare athleticism, not sure if he’s capable of putting it to good use though. Also interesting that he’s been in the league 3 years yet is still younger than Sternberger.

Cook is a good comparison. Great talent, but very questionable hands

Even that aside, I mean, how is 1000/1000, 24 year old McCaffrey not clear-cut #1? Lol.

Meanwhile Smith didn't even make the top ten edge defenders (got an honorable mention) from ESPN's panel of experts. The named Mack as the best in the NFL. Smith was inarguably better last season.

Looks like Derrick Henry is getting a 4 year 50 mil deal. Whats the max you'd give Aaron Jones? I'd go 4 - 40ish. But only if they were able to sign bahk, king, and Clark.

Crazy how the RB position has devalued.

Makes me think about NBA contracts. Snell, Delly, Henson.

Maybe Aaron Jones number depends on how AJ Dillion performs. If he does well, maybe his value to GB lowers and they decide to go a different way.

Aaron and Danica broke up.

He could do better than that Bears fan.

After Danica was on WWDTM and talked about casually driving over roundabouts in her giant Range Rover, I haven't been able to think about her the same

ETA: Clip/transcript.

SAGAL: Because my understanding is, like - I mean, I've actually asked this question to other racers before. And they're, like, oh, no. When I'm off the track, I'm just like everybody else. But you're, like, yeah. You do that.

(LAUGHTER)

PATRICK: I drive like an idiot.

SAGAL: Do you really?

(LAUGHTER)

HONG: Nice.

SAGAL: Are you, like, taking turns on two wheels? Are you doing that stuff?

PATRICK: Well, I definitely - so you guys - I mean, we're getting more used to roundabouts here in America. I was very used to them in England because that's pretty much all they have. So yeah, either when I'm feeling racy or lazy, I just drive straight over them. Or, you know...

(LAUGHTER)

SAGAL: Wait a minute.

HONG: Wow.

SAGAL: Wait a minute. Wait a minute.

TOM BODETT: Wait - what do you drive?

SAGAL: You're telling me...

HONG: Wow.

SAGAL: ...Like, that...

FAITH SALIE: Like, through the center?

SAGAL: Yeah. So a roundabout - as everybody knows, those are traffic circles that are getting, as you say, more and more common in America. And you're saying that when you get into one, instead of, like, yielding to the cars already in it and going around it to your exit, you just go careening right through the middle?

PATRICK: Yeah. You can just drive over the - over it, you know, as long as it's...

HONG: Oh, my God. I'm going to go try this right now.

(APPLAUSE)

SAGAL: Have you ever been, shall we say, caught?

(LAUGHTER)

PATRICK: Yeah, actually - not in Green Bay, though. I did here one day - my boyfriend came home, and he said, so my spies told me you were doing about 89 on the highway. And I was, like, oh, yeah. That was probably true.

I'm a cynic.... Because there is sooooo much money out there, the owners, "Vegas", and many fans will push hard for a season, even if half the NFL level talent is sidelined. There may be ex-Arena League guys, far too long retired players, etc suiting up. I can't help but think this may be a butt-ugly mess :-?

For sure, because the NFL actually has a long history of putting players safety over money

Yeah I can absolutely see them just try to power through and with all the money on the line I get it but what I don't get is how we haven't heard plans for how they are going to try to make it work. Seems inevitable guys will test positive so what's the plan when that happens. An NLF 53 man roster can't take a whole bunch of guys out before you simply can't play. Will there be roster exemptions for guys sitting with covid? What happens if a whole position group who spends time together all catch it? Will teams have to forfeit games if they can't field a team.

Understanding that the MLB has built-in advantages over the NFL as a more distanced sport and that the owners are being similarly ghoulish, putting in as little as they have to to "meet in the middle" when the players become desperate...but...we're having baseball and NBA.

So why not football? College presents a different challenge, but NFL seems like they'll make it work.

Going into an empty Vikings stadium with no fans and our rookie backup QB will have had no live action. This season will be surreal.

Minnesota will surely pump in fake crowd noise, just like they do under previous conditions, but this time with empty stands. That will add to the surreal nature of the game - like something out of the Twilight Zone...
