I think Wiseman could be our 3rd or even 2nd option(depending on Klay) on offense if we take him and he isn't a super negative on D

I would expect rookie Wiseman to be similar to peak Javale.

12 points, 9 rebounds, 2.5 blocks. Lots of mistakes, but alot of really good signs for the future.

I also don't see much Bosh in his game or athleticism at all. Bosh was way more fluid and skilled in college/early NBA years. Thats not to say i'm hating (he's still 1 on my board), I just think he's between Whiteside and Deandre/Dwight in the athleticism range, not a forward like Bosh.

Moses, Shawn Kemp, Kobe, KG, Jermaine O'Neal, LeBron.
They would all be great but rookie Kobe and some of the others had a lot of learning to do.
Wiseman is basically straight out of high school.

It took JaVale years to become the player he was for the Warriors but JaVale had impressive mobility for a big man as a rookie.

I really want to believe in my fantassy version of Wiseman but it isn't likely to play out that way.

Lol 3 games of college and he’s now going to be a 2 option on a team with 3 all stars and Wiggins.

Unless he’s the next AD, I pray he’d be no more than a 4th option for the next 3 years. Otherwise we’re in trouble.

Wiseman is like 30 year old Dwight.
I was right about 3 point shooting. I expect to be right about Tacko Fall. Some coach will figure out how to use Tacko Fall. This movement towards undersized centers will sweep ng back. Back to the basket scorers will return to the NBA.

he's a beast, on physical attributes alone he's a 15/10 guy and he's obviously got skill too so the sky's the limit. It all comes down to 1) do we want a big or not? and 2) will he be a defensive liability?

Also will he be willing to put in the work and be willing to take the pounding of developing and using a post scoring game. If he, like so many bigs before him, avoids the physical side of matchups his shooting % will go down, as will his rebounding and defense.

Still has the most potential in the draft and probably the highest floor.

I think his development would take a different turn when/if he comes here. Kerr might make him do/learn more post moves and passing out of the post to Steph/Klay because they are obviously ahead of him in our offensive choices and it might stifle his perimeter game he has been learning for years. If he is able to combine both though he would become a top 5 big in this league. And that would take a lot of work which I'm not sure he is willing to put in.

Also he will have to get way stronger down low to battle with the stronger bigs in the league but then he is going to sacrifice quickness. Now will he be willing to branch his development to sacrifice his offense in his early years to benefit the team? I still think he will get lots of minutes in his rookie year as Kerr will feature him in the offense alot because of his size but I think Dray might finish games at the 5

I still think out of all the picks this draft Wiseman will get the most minutes in his rookie year and will have the least chance to bust, not like DJ pls

You could argue that they need 20-25 minutes at most in the regular season to rebound and challenge shots, pass and set picks for the Splash Bros.

IOW Bogut circa 2014.

If he’s unable or unwilling to perform that role, not a good fit, unless they think he could be almost as good as KAT on offense and better on defense, who will become the cornerstone of the franchise by year 3 or 4.

Because as a high pick he will be eating up more cap space than a good role player.

While he will have a lot to learn in regards to being so young, and also our rotations, he does have what you’re looking for in a big man defensively. Great wingspan and really good athleticism. Two things you can’t teach.

I envision tons of help blocks, and chase down blocks with his running ability. Add to that, the great lesson of playing next to Draymond, and I have no doubt this kid will be groomed into a great defender.

But obviously there will be some growing pains early. But that’s ok, because that’s normal.

Kerr will want him working in the post for the passing more than the scoring, but he won't sacrifice his outside shot for it. The movement will always make it an option.

He can get bigger and stronger without losing speed/quickness.

It's only the willingness to work and to be physical playing the game that I wonder about with him.

problem for a lot of big men, especially young ones, is foul trouble.

If the refs don't like him for whatever reason, he's going to have problems staying on the court and not developing any kind of continuity.

Save for AD/Zion level that the league is pushing as future marketing stars, I don't remember any rookie big getting the benefit of the doubt. Hell, as far as Warriors bigs go, I think most of them got frequently shafted on 50/50 calls until their third or fourth year in the league. Biedrins never got the calls. Festus and young Looney got lots of hell from refs.

All star game from our team cuz it would hurt if he gets it from another team.

All he has to do is try hard and stay in front of his man with one hand up and not bite pump fakes to fish for blocks. He has the length and athleticism to be able to recover and get the block after the shot is up or at least make it hard for guys to score

3 times actually. It's really absurd.

Paschall was at least a "win now" guy for a championship level team. Smiley and Poole were projects with lower ceiling than Bol. Why not swing for the fences?

To be fair, I was not advocating him with our first pick (i think you had him high enough to take there), so I would have skipped him for Porter or Paschall in the first round.

But in the 2nd! That was lined up perfect for Paschall and Bol.

SMH.
