It's perfectly okay to worry about both of them.

You do you - If you're paranoid about the corona so much not sure how you are going to live because who knows what happens in 5 months, 1 year, 5 years, 10 years or 35 years if you catch covid - I think most should live life we aren't here long to begin with.

What does living life have to do with feeling empathy for the well being of others?

Well, if you're worried about NBA players i can only imagine how you are with your own life with regards to the virus?

I'm assuming you're paranoid but could be wrong?

I am curious to know why you would conflate being concerned with being paranoid?

Who is airing the Raps games? I haven't seen this anywhere. TSN and SNET splitting them?

It's almost impossible to be "paranoid" about a pandemic virus in the middle of a pandemic.

As to the substance of your point, I agree it's good to be optimistic that if you catch covid-19 that it hopefully doesn't cause long term lung (or brain/organ) damage, but that is not the case for everyone right now and the science is developing. The reason why some people lose their sense of smell, for example, is it causes damage in the brain. For many people this appears to heal. They're not sure if the case is true for everyone.

Look at the case of Nick Cordero - the 41 year old Canadian Broadway star who died of Covid. Most 41 year olds don't die from it but that doesn't mean they can't die. Again - it's not paranoia, hundreds of thousands of people have died from this.

Paranoia is tripping over stupid stuff like is the mailman planning to rob my house. COVID on the other hand is some serious thing.

i'm not opposed to the season being played out, but you definitely can blame the NBA for picking florida. the stats were clear as day the entire time, pointing to a surge of infections in the south.

NHL got it right by waiting to first see how each local government would handle reopening.

The data is right out there -- the numbers were not surging. Daily case numbers were essentially between 500 to 1000 for basically all of April and May in Florida, moving up and down, up to the May 29 announcement of the July 31 re-start. The numbers were not spiking at the time of the initial decision or when negotiations began with Disney in May. It was a sound decision at the time especially because of the bubble. But as things develop, sometimes decisions don't work out -- doesn't make them bad. The NBA could have made the decision in the past six weeks to shut it down when the surge hit Florida -- I would have agreed with it. But the max time they wanted in advance to get this right seems to be paying off.

Part of the reason the NBA did not wait to make the decision, is they wanted plenty of time to set up procedures that would give max time and allow things to be as safe as possible in the bubble at the re-start. And it's proving to be fairly effective right now with no cases in the past week of people within the bubble.

The NBA's bubble concept was much better than any other league has (taking location out of play). There are much more restrictions in place, and things for the players to do -- this slows down players mingling with the community like the NHL for example.

Hate to say it but this Clippers team is way to deep man...With a Duo of Kawhi/PG and all the bench players they have they are just as good as the Warriors team with Durant....That Warriors team was top heavy but this Clippers team has about 9 Players deep who can all Hoop....Gonna be tough...Especially if Kawhi plays like he did last year in the playoffs with us

I would've done that deal for a future second round pick and cash consideration.

A guy that size who handles the ball, plays defense and shoots is a perfect fit for our core.

I would have too but last year all they were thinking about was keeping Kawhi
