That seems to still be up in the air, this season.
They may be able to go with 17 players, in the Playoffs.

What if I told you you could watch a game where all of your team’s players played at about 70% their ability? And their coach neutered it from the start?

Positives: Smart, JB, and JT on D (at times) plus Tremont making things happen

Negatives: Carson needs to switch to some sneakers with some buckets in them, and where was our most recent lottery pick Robert Langdon?

Not worried about Kemba, Brown, Smart, Hayward, Tatum, Theis or Kanter at all. Those guys have to be good and they will.

The Celtics are going to need more to advance far in the playoffs. Where is it going to come from on this team?

That’s what I worry about as a Celtics fan.

It ain’t sexy, but Wanamaker and Grant Williams round out the top 9. Maybe Romeo and/or Tremont earn a shot.

Lot of bit ching but the kids played better than tatum. 2 for 8 Edwards the only real shot talk I agreed with so far that and someone said semi still has no offense and poirer not being a NBA player. Outside that I'm cool with wanna maker(lot of hate?) waters. (Hide him on d ).
Real surprised no minutes from tacko or poirer on adams, what do you got to lose? Didn't understand the zone a lot though so that's on brad. But overall biggest disappointment is tatum ouch even in 18 minutes in a scrimmage I expected much better. Onto the next one. Kanter smart, brown, Hayward and thies looked fine.

I'm not worried, the guys were rusty. I think they were taking it easy for now.

The C's failing to contain Steven Adams is really concerning though. If they can't stop Adams, how do you think they'll fare against Embiid? He'll eat us up like he has all season.

C'mon guys, they were terrible. Both units. On the first unit, Smart and Brown played well. Everyone else looked flat. There was no energy. On the second unit, a few guys showed flashes (Kanter, Grant Williams, Green) but they still looked flat. Where was Robert Williams? He didn't block a shot. Carsten Edwards couldn't hit the rim and Wanamaker looked like a complete scrub. They barely had 70 points midway through the 4th quarter.

It looks to me as though success (if any) is riding on Kemba's knee.

Come on guys. I didn’t watch the game and didn’t even peak at the box score. You guys are always whining about something.

After all this Covid stuff, let’s put things in perspective....

Truth be told i didn't love what I watched even before the pandemic. I'm not gonna take much from this scrimmage, but ultimately idk if I expect much from this team.

we seemingly have the worst bench in the league mostly because Danny is a terrible drafter. It's a major cause for concern. That, combined with a very flawed starting five makes us pretenders. It's just the facts. Sky isn't falling. It fell after Danny made that stupid Kyrie trade and blew all those draft picks these past couple of years. You can't do that and hope to truly contend.

My concern is that the team is relatively reliant on shooting from distance, and that the disruption to the season broke that shooting rhythm.

The starters didn’t look out of sync at all in terms of decision making. The defensive rotations were crisp enough too. They were just bricking shots they normally make.

Now, is that a game by game thing? Or is that a symptom of the restart? If it’s the latter, this environment is going to favor teams that get to the line more and are less reliant on the outside shot.

Nah! Edwards doesn’t belong in the league. He’s just awful. If Stevens is not as stubborn as he is, he would have played Tremont more than Carsen towards the end before lockdown. Especially when Kemba was starting to have knee problems after the all star break.

Theis, as good and reliable as he is, can’t really guard bigger players. It’s better to put Kanter and R.Will inside against bigger 5’s to just clog up the paint, and force them to shoot. What i’m worried about is stopping Giannis inside. I remember he would miss and then get his own rebound or follow up his own miss inside. It’s just frustrating to watch!
