Re: Woj: Sabonis suffered serious foot injury
Oh that's so so bad. I hope he gets better soon. Best wishes to his recovery. Any idea if this was an extension of the same thing he was dealing with or something he aggravated?
I really, really just hope we don't end up hearing we were pushing him to go when he was dealing with plantar fasciitis already and ended up doing something that'll have longer term consequences.

Wow, this sounds like bad news
The injury is bad enough that he has to leave the bubble and seek immediate specialist help, it seems
Fingers crossed it's not that serious

This is the kind of thing that points out why Oladipo may be unsure of committing to playing. No matter the rest or preparation, it’s hard to ramp up quickly.

Don't know anything about this plant.
Staying positive here and looking at it as a minor setback in the Sabonis NBA reign.
Goga and Leaf will help us win games.

Goga has yet to practice since the bubble due to a knee injury and may be out the rest of the season. Leaf is super buried deeper than Alize. Neither is likely to win us games this year. And I’m
Highly doubtful Leaf is part of the team for next year. I think if we can’t dump him via trade, he’s a candidate to be stretch waived.
But yes. Plantar fasciitis, if given time and proper rehab, to heal is a small setback in the long haul. But that doesn’t help us this season.

Re: Woj: Sabonis suffered serious foot injury
Both Sabonis and Goga are likely done for the season.
If Sabonis doesn't rest the plantar fasciitis, this is something that will haunt the team for years. Gotta just let him take the rest of the year off to ensure he's back on the court for 2021.
As for Goga, he still has yet to practice and so you would have to imagine that including time for re-acclimation and getting him back in shape, there's no shot he plays this year either. And I don't think the Pacers are in much of a rush to bring him back considering he wasn't exactly putting up game-changing numbers when he was out there earlier this year.
The real interesting question in my opinion is how this impacts Oladipo. We were long-shots to make a deep playoff run at full strength. With Sabonis likely sidelined, the chances are even slimmer. Victor was already hesitant, he has to be even moreso now.
