I really enjoyed watching the game, even if I'd have preferred the Yankee announcers on Yes. The fans were weird, the empty seats weirder. Gerrit was awesome. Scherzer looked like he's not yet in peak shape. I loved seeing Stanton play this way, and Judge was Judge! A short season leaves no room for injuries or players improving over the course of a season. But compared to last year when the Yankees won as much as they did with their "B" team, this is fine. I'm just so happy to see them playing ball again ... and I have the best seats available!

With Stanton its just a matter of him being healthy, im more worried about Sanchez swing seems the league has found something in his swing and he hasn't adjusted, as a matter of fact Stanton did more in the playoffs then Sanchez did last year. I really like what I'm seeing out of Tyler Wade giving you an added dimension of speed, with essentially no off days he will get playing time this year as a PR and give someone a day off here and there. He frustrated the hell out of Scherzer with his speed and bunting ability NL style. He is 25 btw.

Wow, this is like the first time in a while we've had a full healthy lineup. No jinxies.

Looked like he put a blindfold up there once he got 2 strikes.

His velocity was most concerning. His fastball was 92 for a guy that lives at 97. His average even after the 7th inning is 96.5. Naturally some guys throw harder as the game progresses but it’s a shortened season and he just looked off.

I encourage the young guys like King and Frazier to not just do your job but steal a job, go do it, breathe down these veterans necks.

LeMahieu needs an extension. Don't let him hit free agency.

Stanton starts on fire. This is good for his confidence.

I trust this guy in any situation. He’s just so good. Even his outs are well hit.
