Oh boy. As I was saying...
I was right about 3 point shooting. I expect to be right about Tacko Fall. Some coach will figure out how to use Tacko Fall. This movement towards undersized centers will sweep ng back. Back to the basket scorers will return to the NBA.

Can you provide evidence of this? I haven't seen any. Are you confusing Oturu with Okongwu? If not, please show me some examples of Oturu going top 10 in mocks.

Oturu, Okongwu, Okoro.....same difference

Lol. I think he genuinely was confused. At least, I hope so.

Do people think Oturu can switch on the pick and roll?

Not regularly against top perimeter players, I don't think

Baby Nurkic? Seriously I watch his tape and just keep thinking how much he reminds me of the Bosnian Beast.

That's a decent comp, I think. One of the better ones I've seen for him.

What about a more fluid and /or thinner shotblocking version of Al Jefferson with a 3 or shot? Can you guys make any comparisons there perhaps? :dontknow:

I don't think so Jefferson had a mobility issue not just a sub standard explosion. He was more of a black whole.

Yeah, that's true man. I'm actually pretty high on Oturu, And wouldn't at all be surprised to see him go as high as somewhere in the teens to 20s'. I made the Al Jefferson comp mainly due to how dominant a post player he was back in his prime. And he easy he made it look scoring. But again, as mentioned, I do see Oturu as being a more fluid (mobile/agile) and better shot blocking ( more athletic) version of Al Jefferson. And with a three point shot. So in hindsight, It might have just been better to summarize the comp as: A much faster, more athletic rich mans' version of Al Jefferson. But both still being quite dominant ( and scoring easily) in the post. :D

I do think that either Boston or Dallas looks to draft him, Depending on whichever team hasn't already taken Achiuwa first.

The Nurkic comparisons are pretty good IMO, but I have not seen the passing from Oturu. Other than that, I can get behind that comp.

Yeah, Oturu isn't much of a passing big, but we've seen bigs show competent passing chops at pro level after not showing it in college. Could be due to his role on the Gophers. All of his teammates (even Marcus Carr) shot around 50 TS% or below. So it's feasible that also dwarfed his AST%.

Nurkic wasn't a passing big before he came into the league and I'm sure that's true for quite a few bigs that have played in the NBA.

I like him more as a Miles Turner type long term.

Big Al was a true artist in the post. I love watching players with that skill level.

I like him, mid 1st round to early 20s I think he gets drafted. Underrated by most imo. I could see him playing 20+ min a game pretty early in his career.
