He might actually be their best shooter. Lots of offensive potential in a KCP/Green/JR combo next to LeBron and AD.

It's interesting that LeBron is getting almost no All-Defense consideration this year. I'm not saying it's unfair - I haven't seen enough of the other candidates - but he's been really good. If he can maintain or even raise his level slightly in the playoffs, it will be huge for the Lakers.

Can't wait for that classic hot JR shooting game in the playoffs

Rondo coming back and screwing everything up is going to be even more infuriating now.

LeBron + AD + Green + x + x

Kuz, Caruso, Dwight, KCP, JR, Waiters, Kieff. Lots of good two man combinations possible here. Just need two of these guys to play well on a given night to have a good closing lineup.

These games are pretty useless in drawing any conclusions... i already know JR can knock down threes in a no pressure, exhibition environment against a lineup of reserves that are just getting up to speed physically. Doing that against a title contender playing 100% on both end is a different story... I also don't have a lot of faith in Waitress. He can put up 20/6 against bums, but no way the elite teams don't expose him...

That said, i expect JR to get a decent amount of minutes just because he is 3pt threat, which if he can knock them down at a decent clip, should be good enough to warrant playing time, and the Lakers need a shooting wing more than they needed what Bradley brought, imo. As far ad Waitress goes, idk. If he proves himself in the 1st round with good play, ok, but honestly, he shouldn't be getting priority over Caruso.

We must not jump to the conclusion but at the same time, Dion and especially JR have been much better than I thought in the scrimmage game if we consider that they have almost not played since a year or 2.It was important for his 2 players to look good in his games and let's hope they can help us but we'll see

Boo! This will definitely make me less excited for Thursday, but it ultimately doesn't mean a ton as the Lakers have the number one seed almost locked up anyway. IIRC, they only need three wins out of eight to clinch, and possibly need less depending on how their competition performs. But I hope Davis plays Thursday because that will be a great game.

Nate Duncan thinks the Rockets match up better with the Lakers than the Clips. Might be recency bias but I don't see how they guard AD. Granted, Lakers might not have anyone to guard Westbrook but I think AD presents more of a match up problem.

LeBron + AD + Green + Caruso has been incredible this year.

In fact, LeBron + Caruso + x + y +z has been incredible. I’m hoping we see 25 minutes+ for Caruso a game now that Rondo is out.

I dont disagree with him, though i still dont think they have any real chance if both teams are healthy. They go as far as Harden can carry them, and the Clips just have better perimeter defense

Clippers are much deeper too, I think in a long series that can have an impact.

Houston is probably the team you'd rather face though, Clippers have more talent and theoretically the better 1 & 2. I still think the Harden and Westbrook combo is a bit of a question mark until we can see them in a playoff series, both guys are streaky and can either be great or terrible.

Clippers' small ball lineup is better

The Rockets have no size and rim protection against LBJ and Davis,so at least the rockets hit 40% of their 3 and that the lakers can't avoid the turnovers, the lakers should win against Houston.

I agree and the clippers are a bad matchup for the rockets.
