Everything becomes a lot easier when you randomly hit on a top 10 NBA player in the 2nd round

That said, I do agree with you that they have a nice roster.

I don't think anybody expected Embiid. A healthy Embiid has Hakeem like offensive talent. But I was expecting Bamba to be farther along at this point. He has some moments but there's still a lot of work to do.

I do not like this lineup with Melvin Frazier Jr. at the point. #Magic #NBABubble

Denver announcers talking about how Bamba isn't as good as Bol Bol despite draft position. Another chimes in Bamba gained 28 pounds and then said Bamba says its a good thing but the coaches and other players on the team don't. Not sure where he got that part from.

LOL this offense is so bad. It is hilarious Clifford wouldn't at least put a PG out there with this unit.

He should become Gobert with a 3. His attitude doesn’t look great right now though. I always wondered when we draft someone who wasn’t okay with a limited role as a lotto pick. Bamba might be that guy.

It does, but their drafting over the last 6 years has just been phenomenal. Even players like Torrey Craig, Beasley, Monte Morris, Gary Harris, MPJ, Bol Bol, etc. It's as good as anyone.

To stay in this league you usually have to do at least one part of the game really well. Melvin doesn't.

The amount of handwringing that goes on in the last six minutes of a scrimmage never ceases to make me laugh

Other NBA teams just don't treat their rookies like we do where there's a clear pecking order with shot attempts etc. After year 3 they realize they just have to let it fly and play selfish offense to get numbers.

That being said, scrimmages and Summer League stats don't excite me, as long as we give opportunities during the actual season.. which has been hit or miss.

Anyway...

Jonathan Isaac gets the vest.
Gary Clark gets the cumberbund.
James Ennis gets the mittens.

They don’t overthink it. They draft the best player on the board regardless of the ‘negatives’ that other teams take into consideration. Honestly, it’s the best approach. Who cares about injury concerns when you’re looking at a #1 pick talent like MPJ at pick 14. Same for Bol Bol in the second round. Most picks don’t pan out anyway. Take the top talent and hope for the best.

We won at least lol. That 4th quarter was pretty brutal to watch. Loved what I saw in the 1st half. Now to patiently wait for Friday to come when the games actually count. Hopefully the minute restrictions will be more lenient moving forward.
