It's hard to tell how his investment company is doing because it's a private company. I'd guess he's doing better than some mentioned in that article who's businesses are directly impacted by covid. One thing the suns have going for them is they don't have a big payroll commitment for next season. Some of these teams that are already in the lux tax will be hurting.Frank Lee wrote:you make the assumption that we are not one of 'those' teams ????

They discuss how financial issues will affect many team owners, Leading to a high likelihood of many teams not only selling off first round draft picks for cap relief, But also that there'll be a number of teams looking to move contracts and assets to teams with cap space! Any thoughts on how this could play to our favor with certain cash strapped teams and their players potentially becoming available to us in exchange for cap relief? Indiana ironically was one of the teams mentioned too!![]()

Could that be some modicum of Karma for their fans being so smug with Phoenix fans regarding the Warren trade? Also mentioned specifically are the Houston Rockets and the Oklahoma city thunder. And of course ( outside of the reports) there are still also teams that are up against the cap line as tax payers in Brooklyn, Philadelphia, and of course Boston. So are there thoughts on potential asset targets from these teams in exchange for some cap relief? Any specific players we'd prefer to target as potential upgrades to our current roster?

No, but I feel quite confident you will have multiple ideas.

Think Sarver is forced to spend up to the cap. With the public money he recently received for the arena renovation the public blowback would be bad. But this might make operating over the cap less likely. Would probably cost him more money to do so.Frank Lee wrote:you make the assumption that we are not one of 'those' teams ????

Summer of 2021 stands to be, on paper - a tremendous free agent class. Why would you limit that opportunity to be a player for that class for Aron Baynes. One year at a time is fine by me.
