And I used to love Cousins. He’s just not a fit here in any way.
I am not buying the bad fit story. Half of the Warriors board thoght he wsa a bad fit. He was not healthy and he forced a few shots. Our bench could not score at all. At leaat Cousins had the potential to score. I have no idea why Kerr did not make sure one of Curry and KD were not on the floor at all times. If you are going to sit KD, Curry and Klay at the same time then give me Cousins.
The only bad fit i saw was injury and the fack that he Was not JaVale.
Did he shoot too much? He was still getting his rhythm back and playing with a garbage offensive second unit so I had no problem with his shooting.
He could do everything Speights did better than Speights except take chargers.
He could do everything Zaza did better than Zaza.
His passing abilities were Bogut level, he just needed some more time with his teammates.
He brought an insde scoring game that is pretty much missing from the modern NBA. Zach Randolph, Drummond and Embiid can do a little something.
So what is the probkem? He is not a horrible shot blocker, better tgan Zaza.
I love JaVale. Who can catch a poorly thrown lob and direct it into thevhoop better than JaVale. But Kerr didn't love JaVale.
So even a health cousins can't run the floor any better than Zaza, Chriss can. I like having a mix of styles as my options at center.
Healthy Cousins woukd be great as a Warriors. But there is a problem. The Warriors can't afford healthy Cousins. Healthy Cousins may never exist again. I am not sure that I want injured Cousins. We already have injured Looney. Take injured Cousins and injured Looney and hope one of the 2 of them is healthy by playofff time?
