Best Player for Oubre + #10?
What’s the best player you would offer?

From the Jazz, probably Bogdanovic, but I don't think that would be enough for the Suns.

I don't think Oubre + 10 would net Oladipo, but could attract a player just a tier below that -- e.g., Buddy Hield, maybe Jrue Holliday, not sure.

Markkanen + Sato + 2nd(s).. which is probably a tad light

If Oubre comes with some bird rights this Kings fan would jump at the offer, happily even add extra value in a 2nd or two.

Thats like 3 players. Lavine makes sense although I would want 2 picks.
Lamelo will be a future superstar Bull. Book it. Lavar for president!

Oladipo has good value. I like the player a lot. But without a commitment to an extension a top five pick and a starting caliber wing is a really good get for 28 year old a injury prone guard set for a huge payday that the Pacers can't afford.Catchall wrote:

Two picks for Lauri and Sato? I don't know about that.Showtime23 wrote:Godaddycurse wrote:Markkanen + Sato + 2nd(s).. which is probably a tad light

He does come with bird rights. I just don't see the Suns taking on Hields contract given his position and lack of lead guard skills next to Booker. Also wouldn't give the pick plus Oubre. Plus, doesn't Vivek love him still?SNPA wrote:Catchall wrote:

Vivek does love him. I’m not saying Vlade would, but he should. Turning Buddy (and small assets) into Oubre with bird rights and the 10 is a total win. Kings would have two late lotto picks this year, I’d love to see that used to trade up. Oubre and Haliburton for Buddy is a no brainer and I’m a Buddy fan.

Wiggins + #3 + 2021 Wolves FRP
FOR
Oubre Jr. + #10
—
Suns draft GOF (Ball?) they like next to Booker or PFOF (Toppin?) they like next to Ayton. Wiggins comes off bench as super scoring super expensive 6th man.
If Suns don’t have a master plan for using their cap space, this is an option. Taking on bad contract for assets.
Also opens up consolidation trade in 1 to 2 years. Either Rubio as expiring ballast 2021 offseason or Wiggins as expiring ballast 2022 offseason, added to 2021 Wolves FRP + Suns FRPs (as needed) + Youth (Johnson or Bridges or 2020 #3) all on table depending on how big of name available.
*And I think for GSW, might be a way to trade Oubre Jr. for Iggy TPE, then Wiggins for Suns pure cap space and get a fresh 29.5mil Wiggins TPE???

I don't think Oubre plus 10 has very positive value. Like I think it could get a decent player, but the idea of getting top picks or elite prospects/stars is just not realistic, especially in this draft.

Boy, that’s wildly incorrect
Even with a drop in the projected cap/tax, we can afford to give him a max, which has been published as being a standing offer for him, and still stay under the tax. Worst case scenario, we move Jeremy Lamb in another year to clear some salary.

It's interesting how people will slap all sorts of arbitrary labels on Oladipo to justify lowering his trade value
It's even more interesting that people are doing this despite the Pacers having shown zero interest in trading him in the first place

It's because he's in a small market. It's happening with Giannis too.
Every national media outlet talks about small market teams like they aren't allowed to have stars and that they should flock to LA, NY, etc

Interesting idea, which the Suns seriously would have to consider, IMO.
Wiggins' contract is toxic, but moving 7 spots in the lottery is valuable and so is MIN 2021 pick.
