It would be risky, but if we strike out on some of the top choices (Gasol, Millsap, etc) he could be a MLE option. Vet min would be preferable though.

If he's healthy Roberson would be a good addition.

I would rather bring Robinson back. He is not an offensive liability, younger and cheaper.

I feel like we have a lot of ok offensive players in Robinson’s realm.

Roberson could a be shutdown defender again, which we are lacking.

Unless COVID completely depresses his market, Robinson would likely be a partial MLE candidate whereas I think Roberson would only be considered at the minimum

Roberson could be the difference against the physical wings in the west ... if he can get and stay healthy.

Yeah is the same athlete he used to be, after missing almost 2 seasons?

Is he freaked out about doing rim runs from the weak side given how he got injured?

Looks like my dream of Chris Singleton coming back to NBA won't happen. Re-signing in Turkey for 3 more years as one of highest paid euro players.

Interestingly, was also hoping his teammate Shane Larkin could be a backup PG option, but he re-signed as well. Those guys lit up Euroleague this year.

Would Dion Waiters be a bad option at back up PG?

I certainly wouldn't mind someone in the Waiters mold; a bigger combo guard who can create. But I think Kerr would rather have Lavar Ball on his coaching staff than Waiters on his team.

Waiters made a couple of big baskets vs. Clippers.

What do you guys think of Barton? Do you think Denver wants to shed his salary? And can he play pg? He would be an ideal TPE candidate for us.

Barton would be a great addition. He'd basically be a much better version of the role Alec Burks played. I don't think you'd want him playing PG, but he's a really solid passer at the wing position.

Curious what would need to be added with the TPE to get him? He doesn't seem like a player that would require a 1st round pick. TPE and a couple 2nd rounders for Barton would solidify our backup 2/3 spot nicely. I'd put it right behind the group of guys like Oubre/Smart/Kennard in terms of priority.

Does Barton defend?

Seems like more of a box score stuffer, really after getting his own.

Barton has been a long term target for me. He made his mark first as a defender and then he showed the ability to score as he gained a foothold in the league. He’s tough and is a winner imo.

Not sure if they would take out first rounder for next year to fit him into the TPE.

Austin Rivers is my target! He’s a solid scoring guard who can handle the ball and be a bucket. Has average defense and good awareness.

He gets paid $2million. He could be our Lou Williams. I honestly wanted Rivers the year of his draft lol

No. He used to but the last couple years not so much.

Before he grew into being a legitimate NBA player, he was freaking cry baby little B%&$# that was only able to stay in the league because his father traded for him. He now has a little game, but is still a major whiner. He is a self appointed Splash Brother Killer. A hard no from me.

How many NBA players in history have averaged a 3 point attempt every 4 minutes of playing without ever getting to .400? He still thinks he's MUCH better than he is.

He CAN defend.
He CAN score.
He CAN pass.

But he makes too many mistakes on both ends and add in his attitude and he's a no for me too. I don't want MCW, but I'd prefer him to Rivers.

I would guess that if he's going to take a minimum deal, it would be with the Clippers, with the hope that they will extend him to another big contract, since they have the richest owner in the league, if not all of sports.

I wouldn't take Rivers. Not as good of a floor general as Bowman, not as good of a shooter as Mulder, not as good of a slasher as Burks, not as good of a defender as GR3, not as close to Curry as Lee and probably not as good either. Bring our guys back before we give Rivers a call.
