Yeah maybe, but also it looked like he was getting grabbed. I'd want to see a replay to have a better idea of how much that was on CJ.

Whiteside can't hit a friggin 4' shot with hardly any pressure. Are the Blazers trying to win?

Just off the stats sheet, that took a lot to beat Memphis. 53.8% shooting, 43.3% from 3, better ft%, more rebounds, more assists, more steals, more blocks. But Memphis had 16 more free throw attempts.

That was way more difficult than it needed to be. I still dont know why they never went back to Valencusas. That guy is a handful. As soon as Nurk went out he should have in.

36 fouls is ridiculous. I hope the whistles dont continue like that.

This is the first time I've seen Nurk play since his injury and he looked awesome. How sad is it that we didn't have him for our playoff run 2 years ago. I think it'd be great if we could somehow get Kanter back. as well.

Collins....why is he so weak inside? He looks so uncomfortable with the ball in the key. He's a decent shooter, but why doesn't he get the 3pt opportunities Aminu did?

Nice to see a win at almost full strength! Blazers were lucky to get a "good" Melo game to make up for his mostly bad defense. Perimeter defense again a big issue. Curious that Stotts went away from GTjr for so long, he was doing a pretty great job on Morant and anybody he got switched on. Nurkic looking better around the rim. Lillard looks like he might be slightly hurt. Just like earlier in the year, the Blazers have issues when they can't control the pace of the game. When they start getting caught up in playing more uptempo, everything starts falling apart.

Glad Stotts didn't stick with the twin towers for very long...

That was a big one for us. Still, the odds are stacked against us.

Their blitzes on Lillard worked better with Valencunas on the bench, brought them back in the game.

I wonder how Whiteside will feel about having played 18 minutes.

I think the refs are in uncharted ground here, normally a player yelling gets drowned out by a crowd but with no actual fans it's an entirely new ballgame in that realm.

I have seen some blatant profanity uttered by players loudly but the fans are yelling and it goes unnoticed by the ref before Covid.

Blazers made a lot of mistakes against their trapping defense in the 3rd quarter.

I was wondering why he wasn't used more with the foul trouble. It's not like Zach Collins was playing that well.

I'm wondering if he's in Portland's long term plans. The contracts of CJ and Dame are going to really hamper their ability to get depth, and Gary Trent JR is playing himself into a decent contract.
