Wow. This translates so much better than baseball.

Field/Court size. NBA isn’t showing thousands of empty seats. Boxing it in. Smart.

The new court is just plain better. The players have more room to make plays along the baseline and don't have to worry about cameramen and courtside fans, who add nothing to the viewing experience.

Luckily though AK didn’t and he is making that decision now. In fairness though with him it was never ever his ability to play it was all his medical.

the Grizz are certainly going to make the playoffs. They are certainly the best team out of the 8-13

Nurkic is a beast.

Portland is the dark horse based on talent but I dont think Dame is right so I dont think they beat out Memphis in a play in.
New Orleans has Zion so you never know with them. The rest I dont think have enough.

Ja Morant gets the ROY easily because Zion was hurt. I think it might have been a closer race though than expected even if Zion played the whole season. I remember hoping we would be lucky enough to be able to draft him, and Paxson even going to Murray St to scout him, of course we ended up with #7. It’s real hard to not like that Memphis teams future, and truly a team who got out of its vets and stepped full swing into a rebuild. I’d say they have had a couple of good drafts.

I was a full throated advocate for Ja starting late in his freshman year when I happened to randomly catch a Murray game on TV. And I went to undergrad in that conference. So I was already rooting for Memphis.

But you also gotta love the attitude on that team, exemplified by Brooks and Ja laughing off Iguodala’s trade demand with a GTFO who needs you attitude.

Bol Bol had some very bad moments, too, especially on defense. You just don't want him defending away from the basket. Would be cool for the Nuggets to get some smaller guys back.

That pass was pretty insane though.

The Jazz are pretty rough to watch without Bojan. Their bench is completely useless, too.

I always knew TJ Warren was a baller. I always like him. I called it last year that the Pacers got a huge steal for Warren.

I still cant believe the Pacers only gave up cash considerations to get TJ Warren AND two 2nd round draft picks. PHX owner just does some weird things.

53 pts tonight on fiyaaa!

OG Anunoby is one of the leagues most underrated players.

His defense is "All-defensive team" worthy.

I know a lot of people here wanted to draft him. If the Bulls didn't trade Butler I could see them picking OG.

Those Raps are looking like they could get by the Bucks. Never bet against the Champs.

What is the deal with Zion? To me seeing him actually play he doesn't look like the guy physically they showed in the pictures during the break. I know he left the bubble so he missed practices and scrimmages but missing that time shouldn't mean his conditioning is shot to hell, should it?
Losing to get high draft picks and hoping they turn into franchise players is not some next level, genius move. That's what teams want to happen in any rebuild/tank or whatever you want to market it as.

He really fits in so well with the Raps. I wanted him badly in that draft. I was hoping we'd get Isaac and then find a way to trade back into the 1st for OG.

Isaac and OG on the same team would be crazy, the other team just wouldn't score. I also liked OG in that draft but was wrong on Isaac. Didn't see just how good he could be defensively.

I'm fairly certain I may have thrown a tantrum on the board when the Magic took him just ahead of us. They did the same with Bamba :banghead:

Magic are usually pretty terrible at player development too. They get highly talented high ceiling guys and don't push them to their potential.

I dont think they will win it due to real lack of a number one, but you never know. One thing I think is possible is if you withstand the Lakers runs, you can beat them. I dont think the Lakers are championship tough. Davis and Lebron are known to wilt when players withstand runs and go back at them..

Between Nuggets and Raptors rosters, I feel we are going to eventually get high iq players. Hope our current fo use that past fo experience to utilize.
