Great team win. That first half must have been what it felt like to be a Warriors fan during the dynasty with all those threes.

Best thing about the 3's the Clippers took is that they came within the flow of the offense and were wide open for the most part thanks to ball movement

Great win on so many levels. the absence of Zion took a bit of the shine off the win.. but we also were (again) without Trezz and Lou Will. I'll take it.

And... fLakers dropped one. A beautiful day.

Hope Trezz is able to work through his grief, he is very needed.

Loved the game. Thoughts so far:

PG looks healthy—and the difference between his game when he’s at 100% or even 90% compared to 80% (where I think he’s played at a lot this year) is striking. His shot is smoother; he’s getting better lift. He’s quicker on D. He’s been the MVP of the first two games. If he’s stays relatively healthy, he puts us over the top.

Kawhi is healthy, but a little rusty. Not a lot, but a little, Nothing to worry about.

Bev is ready and he’s the man out there. Loved watching him.

Reggie looks very good. He had a kinda lousy game against the Lakers—but looked terrific off the bench against the Pels—and that’s going to be his role. His D was terrific there too. Lou and Reggie coming off the bench will about as good of a bench backcourt as there is in the NBA.

Marcus looks …. Mediocre. I think he’s better than he’s been playing; he had a solid game against the Pels. He looks like he’s still figuring out his role and play within our team. If he was 8 years younger, I’d be bummed. But he’s been around enough and played well enough in multiple situations that I hope/think he’ll figure it out. Sooner rather than later, thanks.

JaMychal. Kinda just … there. Didn’t do anything super good or bad, which I guess is a plus.

Zu showed his issues against Davis—we missed Trezz big time there. He is what he is. He looks ready, which is a plus.

Noah is (very) rusty. He’s still figuring out his health and movement, and it shows—grabbing more than usual. I think Doc was smart to give him some run against the Lakers, so he knows what he has to do. Again, as a vet who knows his abilities and role and has played well with multiple teams, I think he’ll be fine.

Will Sham ever get his consistency back? Really hope so, because he was a train wreck against the Lakers.

2Pat. Let me put it this way—between 2Pat, JaMychal (this year) and Noah, we’re going to get a 50% return. They’ll play effectively half the time. Everything will depend on how ineffective they are the other half of the time, and how our rotations are going that game. He can still play, as the Lakers game showed.

After their much-ballyhooed win over the Clippers on March 8, the Lakers went out and dropped one to the lowly Nets two nights later. It takes everything they got to beat us. They can't sustain it over a whole series.

Zion seems to need more assistance with keeping himself in optimal shape, that’s for sure.

Maybe, maybe not, I never want to take much from situations like that as with such small data points, it’s more attributable to random chance than any sort of patter.

Also if we look further back, in that span, they beat the Bucks, Clippers, and then they lost to the Nets, so now are we saying they can sustain it two games at a time, but not three? What does that now mean? Okay, well for a series, they don’t have to be able to sweep, you see how it now just becomes a random point?

The Lakers had a 10 game win streak in the midst of a 27-3 start to the season. We’ve seen old teams be able to sustain long playoff runs, so I wouldn’t make much of small data points like that.

My Lakers takeaway from the Toronto game: when the Lakers are tired, it's a problem--and they ran out of gas in the fourth. Their bench (which is a weakness) couldn't step up; the team as a whole shot 32% in the fourth. And the exhaustion messed up their D; Toronto shot almost 50% and was 6 for 9 from 3. The Lakers didn't contest well or get back well; they got outrebounded 13-9 in the quarter. They just didn't have the depth to keep up with the relentlessness of the Raps--which is pretty ominous for any team (including us) that has to face them. The Raps are *good*.

Wait until we have the relentless Trezz back, now with Noah to spell him for a few minutes here and there and deliver some hard fouls.
