How many times are the refs going to check for hostile acts while in the bubble?
Inadequate perception I reckon it's from the Valium

Goodness gracious. 20/29 is filthy. Only 4 FTA. He is now one of 14 players with over 50 points with that few FTs.

Thats so strange to me. I've been in Australia 15 years with my wog name, looks and accent and i can't honestly say i've experienced racism at all, in anything. Then again I'm in Melbourne where every 2nd person is from somewhere else anyway, I don't know what happens in whatever Bogansville Patty grew up in. Sounds scary.

I understand there is some rust but this is the second Laker game in a row that Lebron looks like the 3rd or 4th best player on the court (at best).

Re: ATL - Season Resumes page 87
With the caveat that a team that shot 57% from 3 through 3 quarters and the opponent shoots 25% from 3 through 3 quarters is going to win and so that's why the Pelicans got run off the court the way they did. But I think the Clippers, with PG and Kawhi, probably win an average of 11/12 games against the Pelicans. The Pelicans may still make the playoffs because they don't play another team above .500, although I wouldn't bet on them beating Memphis twice. But while I can see Portland giving the Lakers a series, I don't think a Pelicans-Lakers series would be appreciably more competitive than the, likely, Bucks-Nets series.
Not sure what to make of the Philly-Indiana game. Just as an aside, trying to make widespread extrapolations from raw +/- stats can be foolish. That said Embiid being +21 in 34 minutes means they were -27 in the 14 minutes he didn't play. As for the game itself, Brogdon didn't play and Embiid had a 41/21 game and they still lost. But Warren having a career high and scoring 35 points more than his season average can makes the result scream outlier. It all kinda balances itself out and I'm left shrugging my shoulders. But one thing I will say, is that the notion that there was this championship-level lineup sitting there in plain sight is and was absurd. This team's weaknesses are still quite glaring and lineup tweaks aren't going to solve them.

Not sure about Simmons at PF. It looked pretty clunky and cluttered. But then again him and Embiid combined for 60. Horford was very grim.

I never understood why people were claiming the the Sixers were going to be big winners because of the bubble format with no road games. It's not that they're bad on the road, it's that they're bad away from home in general. They just never seem motivated without their own fans behind them. It always seemed like an effort thing rather than a being intimidated by opposing fans thing.

Teams that don't get along don't play on the road well is my theory. Guys that don't like each other trapped on the longest ever road trip can't be a good thing.

Raps are going to need Lowry to be a lot like this to go b2b but man they'll be tough either way.

Yeah, I'm already getting PTSD just thinking about another series with them, Kawhi or not. They are so mentally tough.

RIght with Miami in the defense plus shooters pain in the butt to play group.

I grew up on the Mornington Peninsula a little south of Melbourne (geographic info for the general reader not you obviously) and it was both white as **** and racist as ****. Melbourne though is a pretty good outlier in Australia and I couldn't be prouder of the utter rejection of the 'Liberal' party at the last state election when they tried to run a platform on race baiting.
Also you kinda resemble a giant grizzly bear and racists are usually cowards so I can't see anyone saying **** to your face.
Additionally we tend to run a one-at-a-time racism policy here for immigrants. Irish, as in most places copped it first, then the Chinese came with the gold rush and copped it so the Irish were now ok, Italians and Greeks etc ('wogs') copped it post WW2 until we had the Vietnamese influx following that war, the new set of Asian invaders meant that you guys got promoted to white-enough status. Indians took the heat off the Vietnamese a bit then handed the baton to the Middle Easterners who I guess are in line with the Sudanese looking for a new bunch to take the heat. Got to have an 'other' to blame for your lot in life I guess.
Indigenous Aussies tho, they never got a break with the **** wits.
This is a pretty bloody accurate post. We don't need to make this super political but racism against Indigenous people never stopped and whatever the new migrant group is gets to take it's turn.
Same as America.
