Why do you keep posting this?

Boston has done nothing to deserve that praise.

You also said Jaylen Brown isn’t a legit starter after he signed his extension so it’s pretty clear you’re as biased as they come.

It’s ok to be objective about Raps and Celtics like I am doing. Both are top 5 teams in the league. Celtics are 2-1 vs Toronto this year. Both are really, really good teams.

Did the Celtics play tonight?

Thought this thread was for all games played on August 1, 2020.

I still don't think Brown should be starting, and his impact metrics are still barely positive.

The celts are best with kemba-smart-hayward-tatum-theis.

Oh boy if you think a guy averaging 20/6/2 on 49% FG and 38% 3PT shouldn’t be starting lol.

Amongst 20 PPG scorers this season:

- 3rd lowest time of possession
- 2nd lowest amount of touches
- Highest EFG% for guards
- 2nd in FG% & 2P% for guards
- Lowest USG%
- 4th in Pts/Touch
- 2nd in transition FG% & EFG%

Check my posts in this thread. Have done nothing but praise Toronto. Actually have no issue with them lol. People were talking about Raps in playoffs and as a threat to the Bucks.

I just got called out for saying how great eastern conference 2nd round would be with raptors and Celtics being pretty evenly matched and would be a toss up. Not sure what the issue is in saying that. It would be a tremendous series

Luka must have snubbed him for something media related. That hate is Hater Player's Ball worthy.

Lakers act like they have this on/off switch. They really don’t. I still see the Clippers handling them in the playoffs if one of Harrell or Lou come back. Both? Clippers in 6.
2019 Eastern Conference All Stars

Derozan
Lowry
Ibaka
Valanciunas
Van Vleet
Delon Wright
Lebron
Embiid

There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.

I said Boston and Toronto is an even matchup a whopping two times on this thread, with many raptors fans actually agreeing. Why haven’t the Celtics deserved it to be considered an even matchup?

Both have top 5 offenses and defenses. Their net rating are #4 and #5 in the league. How is that not an even matchup?

They blasted these same Lakers by 30 earlier this year lol. Get off your high horse and try to be objective.

I would say that sure, they're similair...

except they're not.

The Raptors won the NBA Championship last year. The Celtics did not. All of the guys on our roster won a championship last year. There's another gear to these guys the Celts just don't got. Not unless they win it this time around.

Oh and the Raptors defense is out of this world good. So there's that.

Danny’s a good guy. Didn’t he also sh*t the bed against the Spurs last season? I think he just gets shook playing against former teammates.

I feel like the Lakers have an oddly constructed roster, and it will get very hard for them due to the lack of the guard depth they have.

As weird as it sounds, they really missed Rondo tonight, and of course Avery Bradley.

Raps didn't re-sign Danny Green for a reason lol.

The Lakers got a lot of moves to make this off-season, and I honestly think they need to move AD permanently to the center spot, with Lebron at the 3 or 4. Kuzma/Danny Green / Bradley / All the trash guys gotta go. They need a solid guard as well, crazy enough, someone like Lowry.

And I’ve said every single one of those things in this thread and don’t disagree at all. Praised Toronto all night for their defense and championship pedigree. I said ECSF will be great to watch with MIL vs MIA where Heat have swept Bucks this year and BOS vs TOR where Celtics have won 2 out of 3 and both are top 5 teams.

Anyways, enough about that and let’s talk about how the Lakers just got their asses handed to them!

Raptors vs Celtics is very likely to go 7 games....a battle between these two teams has been long overdue..

He was **** the entire postseason last year too. Not sure if he's just declining, inconsistent, or experiencing some kind of mental block.

Meh, way too many hot takes after this one regular season game. Sure, the Raptors are really good, but let's be honest, the Lakers came out of the gate down 13-0 (LOL), and had absolutely no sense of urgency. Aside from a few plays from LeBron, the consistent defense of Caruso, and the streaky shooting of Kuzma, the Lakers were pretty bad tonight. If these two teams played in the Finals I'm sure Davis has more than one point at half time lol.

And Danny Green, as bad as he was tonight, will probably hit like 5 threes in the next game.
G - James | Rondo
G - Bradley | Caruso
F - Green | Caldwell-Pope
F - Davis | Kuzma | Morris
C - McGee | Howard

Lakers didn’t look good because of the Raptors defense and perfectly executed gameplan all night. No doubt it would be different if they meet again since they’d try to scheme ways to get AD more FGA.
